About this Cook
I live in Orange County, Ca and love to cook. My husband has recently been diagnosed with a liver problem so after much research I’ve been coming up with a healthy new diet for our household. I love cooking with lots of butters, I love pork and frying things and cant live without my starches but it’s all things he cannot eat anymore. I include at least 3 tablespoons of honey, 2 cloves of garlic and 45 % of his daily intake in vegetables. So everything comes with a health homemade dipping sauce. Normal the base is honey, it make it easier on me. Red meat is not a great idea too often and we must cut down on poultry so we eat a lot of tofu. Up until now I have never cooked tofu and only ate it in miso soup, so you can imagine my excitement in this. Likely my husband love tofu and even knows how to cook it so he gave me a few pointers (from the couch).
My favorite things to cook
i love fresh cookies cant make them anymore but love making them.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Alternating holiday’s in my family one of the major holidays isn’t a big family feast it’s a horderve paradise everyone bring their new or old fun or health exciting or weird treat and we just sit around chatting and pigging out all day.
My cooking triumphs
The first time I ever made a three milk cake. I’ve never had one before and for every birthday in my family I let them pick how they want their cake decorated like. Well my husband went a step farther this year he just wanted a three milk cake. Now I’ve never had one, never tasted one but I looking up many recipes and made one of my own by fallowing my own roles. Image a three milk cake soaked in Amaretto topped with homemade Bialys whipped cream.
My cooking tragedies
When I was 13 I had my first little love in jr. high so I wanted him to meet my parents. I invited him over for dinner, thinking I would impress cooking skills and he would be mine forever. Well I started dinner with a potato cheese soup and I totally burnt. Everyone was very nice though. They all sat there ate it and nodded their heads at how good it was. It was terrible and embarrassing and we only survived 2 years after that lol.
