Grandma Johnson's Scones

These scones were fabulous. I made them twice now with dried apricots and white chocolate chips. Everyone went nuts over them. I will try them with different ingrediants in the future.

I made these for a Super Bowl party and did they ever go over big. They were gone in no time. I didn't have the mini muffin pans, so I used the regular size muffin pans. I cut the biscuits in half and spread them out to cover the bottom of pan. Then just cover the biscuit with filling and bake. I made sure to spray the pan down good with spray margarine to ensure they came out easy. Excellent recipe. Will use over and over again.

Zucchini Brownies

This recipe was extremely good except it could be compared to a fudgy cake recipe. I got many compliments on it and will make again. I did add 2 eggs to the recipe, however.

Rhubarb Strawberry Crunch

Seared Sea Scallops

Simply terrific. I added a little garlic powder to the recipe, also. I pan fried the scallops so they were browned and then put them in the oven to cook them through. I'm going to try this recipe with other fish also. Thanks for a keeper.

Tater Tot Bake

AWESOME RECIPE. I made this for a group last night and everyone raved (and took seconds). I added a layer of corn over the meat and it was delicious. Also threw in chopped green pepper, garlic and onion powder into the meat mixture. Nobody could believe that this recipe was made with tater tots. My husband called this one a "real keeper".

Excellent recipe. I thought this was better than lazagna and easier to put together. I also mixed in some cottage cheese with the sour cream. I will use this recipe over and over again

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

One of the best sandwiches ever! It's so easy, you can hardly believe the results. I added sliced onions and mushrooms to the recipe and topped the sandwiches with mozzarella cheese on hard rolls. These were so tasty, I'm going to make them for our next big family gathering. Thanks for a wonderful recipe.

Triple Berry Crisp

I took this to work for a potluck and everyone wanted the recipe. I only had fresh raspberries at home so that it what I used. I topped it off with some cool whip. So easy and so good.

Zucchini Patties

Wow, what a great recipe for zucchini. We just ate these up. They even look just like potato patties. I made these even lighter by adding reduced fat shredded mozzarella cheese and frying them in a spray marjorine. I also added some garlic for extra flavor. Thanks for a wonderful recipe that I will surely use over and over again.

Chocolate Caramel Nut Salad

This recipe was a huge hit. I used butterscotch pudding instead of the vanilla and it was wonderful. I didn't even need to use all of the snickers bars because of the extra flavor from the butterscotch. I just crumbled 2 snickers bars over the top of the salad for a mouth watering finish. Everyone raved and wanted the recipe.

Sweet and Gooey Chicken Wings

I tried this recipe for a party and it got fair reviews. I thought the taste was o.k. but the wings never really formed a glaze. They were not all that sweet either and had more of the soy sauce taste. Normally chicken wings go over big but this time I had leftovers. Sorry, I probably will not make this again.

Hot Pizza Dip

What a great appetizer recipe. It was fast, easy and very kid pleasing. You can whip this together in just minutes. I added different items to each half of the pizza to give it variety. Thanks for a real keeper.

Gravy Baked Pork Chops

I've been making a version of this recipe for years and will continue to do so because it is delicious. I use cream of chicken soup (we don't like cream of mushroom soup) and just add a little water to make the gravy. I also add a pinch of garlic and season all. I ususally don't bake it, just simmer it slow in a skillet. This is great comfort food when served with mashed potatoes.

Quick Black Forest Cake

I brought this cake to a potluck at work and it got raves. It is so easy to make, you can hardly believe the way it comes out. I added the whipped topping on top for a fantastic finish to this cake. Thanks for a quick and wonderful recipe. I will make this again.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

This recipe is super. A real comfort food and with so little effort. I let it cook on low and added a can of mixed vegies just before adding the biscuits. I cut each biscuits into four pieces. They took much longer to cook that the recipe called for. But it was worth the wait.

Island Kielbasa in a Slow Cooker

I added sliced carrots, onions and peppers to the recipe and cut the brown sugar in half. The sauce was great served over rice. I did thicken it a bit with corn starch and added a little vinegar for a nice sweet/sour taste. Next time I will try it with chicken instead of the kielbasa. Great recipe.

Creamy Potato Lasagna
