Thai Grilled Beef Salad
made this for a light lunch for myself.. i scaled it down to what would be 1/2 a single serving.. i used what i had on hand.. bottled lemon juice for the lime and left out the kecap manis, shallots, and thai chili peppers.. the dish had more than enough punch so i didn't feel it was missing them.. i wish i would have had the lime though.. i'm sure it would have made it taste much more like the thai steak salads i've had in the past but i still enjoyed this one.. i used half fish sauce and half soy sauce as others did.. ty for the recipe

Ginger Veggie Stir-Fry
i used this as a starting point for dinner.. i felt there was room for improvement but bf said it's called seasoning to taste.. i added more garlic and ginger.. used the veggies we had in the fridge (broccoli, green bell pepper, carrots, onion, and mushrooms).. i also added some leftover chopped up boston butt to make it heartier.. and sprinkled some sesame seed oil and extra soy sauce because of it.. i'm not a huge fan of adding corn starch to my asian dishes so i just left it out.. it didn't need the extra salt.. ty for the recipe

Big James' Pork Rub
we used this on a boston butt and it came out pretty good.. we're usually not one for rubs with sugar but it wasn't overpowered by the sugars.. i liked the small amount of heat on the end.. bf said it produced a nice candy on it.. i agree.. bf's sister and niece stopped by and tried it and said they liked it too.. i tripled the salt but kept everything else the same.. caution it does make a lot and i even halved the recipe.. ty for this simple rub
