Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2009
I'm 28 and never had a sloppy joe. I've never been a fan of onions, so I never tried one. So I finally made them, and yea! I skipped the onion, which I think made the mix a bit sweet. But this is a keeper.

Buttery Soft Pretzels

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2009
I thought these were really good. I've made them twice so far, in 4 days and well, here is my suggestions. Do not add all the flour. I did that the first time and came out with tough dough. I only added 4 cups and only needed a little more while kneading it. I also did not need any while rolling out the ropes. I made small pretzels and came out with about 20 or so. I let the dough rise for more than an hour and it was perfect dough. They are best if used the same day. This sure is a keeper! Thanks.

Baked French Fries I

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2009
This was a great recipe. I loved that the seasoning coated every fry. My hubby loved these, and usually doesn't eat baked fries. I added a little bit of cayenne powder and parmesean at the end and they were perfect. I'll definatly be making these again.

Chocolate Crinkles II

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2009
These were sooo good. After making the batter and wanting a cookie, I realized that you had to chill the dough for 4 hours! No way. I spread the dough onto a sheet pan and put it in the freezer for about 20 mins. Then scooped and rolled the dough. I had to bake them for about 14 mins, and they were perfect. Still soft in the middle. These are definite keepers.

Classic Gingerbread Cutouts

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2008
This is a great recipe! I actually needed a bit more flour, but the consistency of the dough was beautiful. I used the template on the site for the house, and prematurely did a few cut outs and was left using scraps for the roof. But I was able to make it work. Over all, its easy and very tasty! Even for non-molasses likers.

I could not stop eating this cookie dough! It was delicious. The cookies were good, but got crunchy after sitting out for just a little while. But over all, awesome.

Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2008
This was ok. It was a little runny and very strong flavored. Once paired with fettucini and chicken, it was good. I will try other recipes before coming back to this one.

Chicken and Biscuit Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2007
I made this recipe with quite a few changes. But the base of it was so delicious! I planned on baking this and pouring over biscuits, but once everything was added, it was perfect. I used onion and garlic powder with the butter, carrots and celery. Then I added the broth (water and bullion)and added a huge potato cut up. Then the peas. Finally the chicken was added and it was done. I simmered it while I made biscuits and it was thick and soooo wonderful! This is a keeper for sure!
