Fry Bread Tacos II

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2013
Im Native American, raised on fry bread and yes have made it 1000 times or more in my life. I found the dough (if you follow recipe exactly) to be too sticky to handle, they put too much salt in it (I made a double batch and only put 1 tsp in and the dough was waaaay to salty, couldnt imagin how it would have been with 2 tsp.... Ick). They ask to put in way to much milk. The recipe I make and most Natives use is with powdered milk then the wetness is from warm water. The dough is soft, easy to handle and just a pinch of salt and suger..... This was nothing of the sort and no one would eat the fry bread. So after all that I ended up making my usual fry bread that every one chowed and enjoyed. As for the taco part, I didnt even attempt after the failed frybread. But we normally do one of the two. Make simple chili and put taco toppings on top or just make your favorite home made taco meat then with all ur fav. Taco toppings. Yum.

I used Rum. it was great. I gave my cake an added taste and kept it moist. I also used about double the lemon zest, cos I really like the flavor and it turned out excelent.

Wedding Cake Frosting

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2010
My cake is the HAPPY BIRTHDAY NOELA cake posted pic. Very good and easy to make. I ddint really change much just the amount of shortening I used. I used 1 cup butter, and 1/2 cup shortening. I measured 6 cups of powdered sugar, but then just mixed in what I needed until I like the consistancy. I also added almond flavor instead of vanilla, just cos thats how she likes it. I used electric mixer to fluff it up. My mother in law raved about her birthday cake as did my family. I liked it so much Im gonna use this recipe for my daughters 16th birthday in a few week.

Ranch Burgers

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2010
This is very delishious. stayed juicy and my family loved it. I didnt think it tasted like meatloaf on a bun at all. I would recommend using extra lean hamburger and no crackers. I also put in a handful of shredded cheese and a packet of onion soup in replace of real onions as I didnt have real ones. We used Havarti cheese for the top and it was a very good choice. The hamburger had so much flavor, we will be making this many more times.

Ham and Noodle Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2010
We were trying to figure out what to do with our left over Easter ham and found this recipe. I give it a 5 star as it is very delicious. I took a pic and posted it, sorry I dished up one plate before remembering to take photo. I also dont think I toasted the bread crumbs long enough, but it was still very very good and my whole family enjoyed this meal including my 2-yr old daughter who is a picky eater (but what 2 yr old isnt?) This is a keeper, I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. Thanks Kelli F. for sharing... as Rachel Ray says "Yummo.
