Firecracker Scallops

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2013
Loved this. Such a nice surprise - i made as directed and placed it on a bed of rice and peas. Really wonderful! Strangely enough. I just had horse radish in the jar. ( no sauce) So i used what i had - plain hot horseraddish just about 2 tablespoons Placed in oven as directed. So while it was not creamy. It was really devine placed on top of the rice. I had the large scallops you get from costco. Will try next time with sauce but - this way was really yummy too!

Greek Honey Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2010
really excellent - I was happily surprised at how lovely this turned out. I only added the cup of honey lemon juice but no water or sugar plus this made it light and not too sweet. I didn't have any nuts but will add them when I make again (which I am going to do this Monday) Thanks!!

Spiced Pecans

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2010
Yum, I didn't have any cloves so I substituted allspice - really excellent. This will be a staple for holiday meals - I have to say I think the allspice was an excellent addition. Next time Ill try some cayanne as well. Thanks for such a great recipe

Pressure Cooker Italian Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2010
I love this - used my trusty and favorite cooking method - the pressure cooker, absolutely wonderful. Very flavorful, and very quick. I was unsure about the barley and lentils - I added them dry from a package and it turned out beautiful, not mushy. The only change I made was frozen spinach - worked great - also I did not add the green salsa till I served it and it was a really nice garnish. Looks beautiful, and tastes really great! Also, I made my own chicken stock in the pressure cooker about 15 minutes prior to making soup - this makes such a nice soup base, better than any store bought!

Slow and Easy Beef Stock

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2010
I love this, looks like its a pain to make - but so much more healthy. Look at the sodium content on canned or boxed stocks, this has much more flavour and you get a whole lot which is easy to freeze for later use. Loved it!

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2010
I loved this have made it more than a few times - always sooo tasty, I did change one thing and I have continued to do so - I use 1/2 cup of flour and 1/2 cup of rolled quick cooking oats instead of 1 whole cup of flour. thanks for such a wonderful recipe!

Bacon Wrapped Hamburgers

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2010
This was exceptional, I did everything as said in recipe, I used 4 LBS of ground lean so I multiplied each ingredient by 4 and frooze the rest for later. My only addition which really turned out great was 1 cup of quick cooking oats, because I froze these I did not use the bacon. However these are the best ever with bacon and without! Thank you for such an amazing burger

Skillet Zucchini

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2010
I followed the directions but did not add the butter - used olive oil to cook in, it was wonderful ! I thought it strange - adding the cooked bacon with the water, I would have added the bacon last to keep it crunchy - but it turned out wonderful and the bacon added to the whole flavour of the dish. This was super!! Thank you for such a fabulous recipe
