Made-Over French Toast with Spiced Pears

I made this tonight for dessert with only a few slight adjustments. After adding the sauce to the bottom of the 9X13 dish I lined the entire dish with pears. I had about 4 rows. I used about a half a loaf of stale french bread sliced into 1/2in thick pieces. I soaked the pieces in the eggy mix (this is where the milk belongs for those questioning) for a few minutes on each side before placing them into the pan. It cooked in the time suggested and the spices/sweetness was really good without being overpowering. I will definitely make this again. I can't see serving such a sweet meal to my family for breakfast, but this makes a great dessert. I absolutely does NOT require any additional syrup or sweetener.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

These were delicious! I did accidentally take mine out a little too soon. Cooked for 10 minutes and let them rest on the baking sheet for an additional 5 before moving them to the cooling rack. They probably needed an additional 2 minutes, which I will correct next time. I also will use only 2/3 of the chocolate chips called for. This is completely a personal preference as I'm not a chocoholic. I will definitely make this recipe again.

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

My husband says these are the best ginger cookies he has ever had, and I must agree. After making these several times with excellent results, I decided to pass the recipe along to the rest of my family. Everyone raves about them. These are a regular is our home.

Cilantro-Lime Dressing

This dressing is really fantastic. I took the suggestions of so many others on here and used 1/4 honey and 1/3 vinegar. The sweetness was perfect. I chose to leave out the salt, and I also halved the oil (personal preference). The recipe still came out great. I will definitely make it again.

Make-Ahead Vegetarian Moroccan Stew

This was delicious. Great flavor combination. I left out the honey and the potatoes since I was out of both. I substituted 3-4 cups of spinach for kale, and sultanas for the apricots. I also added about 1/2 cup rice to thicken it up. This is a very versatile meal.
