This is probably one of the best chili's I've ever made. I made very few modifications to it and it was fabulous. First, not sure what a boilermaker is, so I used my slow cooker. I browned the meat (including 3 strips of real bacon. Don't do bacon bits!) and then threw everything into a slow cooker on low for 8-9 hours. I used a bean mix (whcih I drained and rinsed) and serrano peppers instead of green chile's as I like the flavor a bit better. I also cut the recipe in half (there's only two of us) which was good because my slow cooker couldn't fit anything more than what I made. Freaking Deee-lish!
