About this Cook
I'm a stay-at-home mother of 3, currently taking classes to get into the RN program. I cook out of necessity and love trying out new recipes. I'm a frugal cook, though, and shy away from any gourmet that is more about presentation and less about flavor. I like to rotate my meals and am always looking to add more to my favorites.
My favorite things to cook
I'm a big fan of pancakes and bacon dinner, but at the request of my husband I only do that a couple times a month. My favorite things are anything that my kids will eat without complaint, as nothing ruins a mealtime quicker than a whiny child poking at their food.
My cooking triumphs
I've made some impressive birthday cakes - impressive to me, but filled with flaws. Still, they are fun to make and I always get a great sense of accomplishment. I'm not a great adventure cooker, I rely pretty heavily on recipes. When I do manage to pull something together all on my own, I feel like I'm "The Woman", even if all I did was brown some meat, add a veggies, noodles and sauce.
My cooking tragedies
Where shall I begin? Ha-ha, that's why I'm not a good adventure cooker. I can only think of one time when I took my family out to dinner because what I ate was inedible. I have also apologized profusely at the table as we choke down our meal and I promise never to make it again. I believe I've even gotten up from the table once and destroyed the recipe then and there as to not have the displeasure again.

Bulgogi Burgers
My family really enjoyed these burgers! They pan fried beautifully and the ingredients created a sweet, Korean flavored glaze on the outside of the patties. I served them with sesame noodles, but most of my family ate them on hamburger buns. Personally I think the bread hid the bulgogi flavor (my favorte part) so I just cut mine up and ate it by itself. For my family of 5 to all agree on a dish is a big deal, so I will certainly make these again....thanks for the great recipe!

Chocolate Candy Bar Cake
This is the second time I've attempted adding pudding to a cake mix...I simply don't like it. Instead of tasting light and fluffy, it tastes dense and heavy. I did enjoy the concept of the candy bar cake and I liked the frosting so I'm giving it 3 stars. I made it in 3 9" pans and then layered the frosting in between without frosting the side - so pretty when cut. Will make again, but with heavy alterations.

Angie's Perfect Dinner Rolls
Love these rolls!! I have been very spoiled by using rapid rise yeast (it cuts out the first rise time) and this recipe worked beautifully in it and I even doubled it. What a large batch of dough that turned out to be, but I've got 3 pans loaded with golden, fluffy rolls just waiting to be consumed with Christmas dinner. I will definitely be using this recipe again!!!
