About this Cook
I am a busy bee. I am a student and have a full time job working as an Admin. My roommates all call me Betty for Betty Crocker because I am always in the kitchen when I am not in class or work! Cooking is my way of winding down after a hectic day!
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook anything and everything. Even when dishes don't turn out right it's still a fun experience.
My favorite family cooking traditions
April fools day as a child my mother would make us a nice Italian dinner but instead of it being the traditional dishes it would be colored and instead of using the average forks and plates we would have to eat the food directly off the table with spatulas or other kitchen gear. It was always my favorite meal of the year.
My cooking triumphs
I once made a chicken dinner from scratch that turned out so delicious. I had a huge chicken breast that was so moist and flavorfull with some homemade potatoes and pies... Now its not that big of a deal but when I cooked this meal I was just starting off...I was about 12 years old!
My cooking tragedies
Sometimes I loose my patience with dishes and decide I cant wait any longer... Just a few weeks ago I was baking a cake and it was taking forever. I figured that it had cooked long enough (10 minutes over what the recipes called for) and pulled it out even though it did not look done yet. Needless to say the cake fell completely apart :(

Salmon with Dill
This was a very good meal. You have to be careful not to over cook your salmon however. My 1.8# salmon only took 14 minutes to cook so I imagine that cooking for the entire time would dry this out. I would recommend adding a little bit of fresh lemon also. Overall this was good! I will be making it again.
