Hard Do Bread

Followed the directions exactly and it came out wonderful, even for the me--a first time bread maker. I love this bread! Much better than the store bought Hard Do Bread that I've bought. I make this all the time now and family/friends make requests for it!

Focaccia Bread

This recipe is definitely a keeper, but only gets 4/5 stars because I had to make it twice for it to come out right. The first time, I followed the directions as it was written. My bread did not rise at all. It was flat and dense... like a thick cracker, though the flavor was good. The second time, I proofed my yeast and the bread came out wonderful! My husband was so impressed with it... he had doubted my skills and thought I picked it up at some bakery. I learned a valuable lesson, though: ALWAYS PROOF YOUR YEAST!

Country Apple Dumplings

This is AMAZING! I didn't have soda on hand, so I nixed that and used a mixture of Apple Juice and Lemon Juice. It was still beautiful! Would like to try it with soda next time to see how it tastes. The only bad thing about this dish is that it has wayy too many calories for something so addictive.

Three Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies

I found this recipe a couple years ago, and now it is my GO-TO recipe for peanut butter cookies. Of course, I've memorized it :-). So simple, so delicious, forgiving, and easy to make variations! Love, love, love this!

Perfect Pumpkin Pie

I'm a first-time pumpkin pies maker, and usually not very successful at baking. I found this recipe for pumpkin pie to be fool proof, even for baking dummies like me. I used fresh pumpkin puree instead of canned and didn't have sweetened condensed milk on hand, so I made a concoction of evap milk and sugar boiled on the stove top. This was the BEST pumpkin pie I've ever had in my life! Not bad at all for the first time! My family loved it and I am definitely going to use this recipe again!
