Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2010
Pretty good! Used leftover ham from Thanksgiving, and served in leftover rolls as a bread bowl. I also used heavy whipping cream with the milk. It was a little more work than I thought it would be, but it was worth it.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough + Cupcake = The BEST Cupcake. Ever.

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2010
The cookie dough baked with the cake even though I froze them exactly like lovestohost said to, and DID NOT overbake them. The cake was really bland. Kind of overrated and super disappoing. : (

Homemade Crispy Seasoned French Fries

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2010
These were not seasoned well. In the end, they weren't that crisp.

Cream Puffs

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2010
Oh my goodness, these were fantastic. I'm about the most beginner-like cook out there, and mine turned out great. I used french vanilla pudding and since I was out of flour I used bread flour. Three words:wow, yum, and delish!

Sloppy Joe Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2010
This was a good Sloppy Joe. I made some slight changes that I think without them, this would be a three star recipe, though. I decreased the brown sugar as many have suggested, and added a pinch of cayenne. I also doubled the recipe to four servings. But overall, these were pretty good.

Cream Cheese Mints

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2010
I was pretty disappointed on how these turned out. The mixture was a lot like the consistency of cake batter and it was hard to form little balls, even with adding tons more sugar than in the recipe. Then I tried piping them witha star tip and they were pretty, so I stuck with that technique. I COULD NOT GET THEM TO BE MINTS!!! I waited a long time and put them in the refridgerator and they were altogether too mushy. I would have given this 1 star, but they tasted good, even though they were messy, time-consuming and NOT pleasing. I wish these turned out better! : (

Sweet Potato Pie I

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2009
It was pretty good, though I found myself wanting SOMETHING! Maybe spice, it was just an OK recipe. If you decide to make this, better get Cool Whip, it kinda needs it.

Pot Sticker Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2009
This is REALLY good. Even the pickiest eater on the face of the Earth ate them! Next time I will roll out the dough a lot thinner, though. Don't follow the recipe on the "roll out to 6 in." part. It's too thick. Also, i didn't use Chinese five-spice powder, I just used cinnamon and cloves and a little bit of chilli powder. Instead of soy sauce, I added teriyaki marinade/sauce. YUM!

World's Best Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2009
This is the BEST EVER soup. It is now my favorite food. I upped the cheese to 2 1/2 cups, and some of it was sharp cheese. This is really good and it has a tangy "umami" taste to it. I LOVE it. I've never tried a better potato soup, even in the restaraunts. My ONLY complaint is that I can't stay away from it. It deserves 6 stars! PS. Ground pepper-or the smoked kind- is needed!
