Creamed spinach. My German great-grandmother made the best creamed spinach and I'm the fourth generation to make it.
My cooking triumphs
Making my great-grandmother's stuffing recipe and having my dad say "Was this her recipe? It's BETTER." I teared up.
My cooking tragedies
My pecan pie that just wouldn't set and a pumpkin-banana tart that was in a word, nasty.
