Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2011
I've made this recipe over 10 times and everytime it comes out perfect. I make 2 large loaves. I give one away and keep the other for snacking on, highly recommend it.

Savory Italian Sausage Sauce

Reviewed: May 3, 2010
I've been making this recipe for years (handed down Italian). I haven't used mushrooms before (so I look forward to adding that.) One thing you might try that makes this recipe absolutely perfect, cut sausage links into 1/2 bites (brown with onions). Add 1/2 cup celery. When sauce has simmered (at least 2 hours) add whole pepperoni cut into 1/2" pieces. When serving pasta, ladle sausage and pepperoni separately and serve with freshly grated permesan cheese. You will NEVER make this differently.

Cream of Tomato Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2011
Although this soup is incredibly easy to make, unfortunately the end product tastes like warmed up tomato juice and minced onions and salt. Even adding the milk to the blend, there was absolutely no flavor. Won't make this again.

Tommy's Ham Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2011
This is really very good. I also added cream of chicken soup, soup cream and 1/2 & 1/2 to sauteed onions and celery. Added a little poultry seasoning, seasoned pepper and garlic. Topping I crushed up some saltines, melted butter and sharp cheddar cheese. Our family ate it up.

Chocolate Banana Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2009
I substituted fat free whipped topping and omitted the pecans and it is setting in the fridge now. I KNOW this is going to be good and so EASY. This will be a keeper! It is very good, however the cream cheese was a little over-powering, next time will use 1/2 the amount.

Split Pea Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2011
This is my first time making split pea soup. I followed the recipe exactly, I had to had quite a bit of seasoning to get it to taste right. Next time I will use chicken stock to boil the peas/onions. I had to use an immersion blender to make it creamier. It was "okay" but won't use this recipe again.
