Great alternative for mayonnaise. This was a healthy, light recipe.

Chocolate Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2013
The bread did not come out the way I hoped. It did not rise, nor was it as light and fluffy as I wanted. The flavor however, was good. It had a soft, sweet flavor.

This was a very easy recipe. I used it in a banana trifle recipe, and it turned out perfect.

Vanilla Glaze

This was a very simple glaze for my cake. I would have liked it a little thicker.

Grandma's Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2011
I made this pie for my family. My husband loved it, but it turned out a little runnier than I expected. I guess I did not account for the juice in the blueberries.

Carrot Soup

Reviewed: May 11, 2011
This is a nice soup. I did not add any butter. I added two tablespoons of sour cream. I also did not add dill. I did add 1/2 cup chopped white onion. I blended the onion and carrots into the puree. It has a great flavor,. and it is not bad to look at. Will make this one again

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies I

Reviewed: May 11, 2011
This was a great recipe. At first I thought it called for too much rolled oat, but I was wrong. I did not add the raisins and it still turned out moist and yummy.

Surprise Cake

This turned out to be a moist, spongy cake. I did not add the pepper. Next time I make it, I will use 1 cup coffee instead of water.

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2011
The rolls turned out yummy. This was my first time making rolls from scratch. I found the dough to be a bit too sticky. I had to put it in the fridge for a couple hours before I could shape them.

Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2010
I made this dish with scallops and shrimp. I used fresh chopped cilantro instead of parsley. Cilantro is more appropriate for seafood dishes, but parsley is good too. I did not take any pictures of this dish because everyone ate is so quickly. The family all said that they loved it. I will make this one again.

Turtle Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2010
This was a great cheesecake. Remember not to overbeat the batter because it will rise in the oven, then fall just a little after you take it out. This is a baked custard. The protein in the eggs is what binds it together in the baking process. The best thing about this cake is how much fun it is to decorate. You can use chocolate, caramel, and nuts in any creative way. This dessert was a great presentation at our Christmas party. I will make this one again.

Fudgy Chocolate Cream Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2010
I am giving this recipe only two stars. The pie tasted fine, but it was not thick enough at serving time. I made it one day in advance and refrigerated it. It was too runny. Next time, I will increase the amount of corn starch. This is a good recipe but needs to be thicker and firmer.

Zucchini Pineapple Loaf

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2010
This was a delicious bread. I used the right amount of crusted, drained pineapple that the recipe called for. The bread was good, but I did not get that pineapple flavor that I was expecting.

Buttery Corn Bread

This was my first time making cornbread from scratch. The recipe was delicious. In this recipe, I used only 2 cups flour. I also added a dash of baking soda. This is a nice, Southern American treat.
