Beef Stew V

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2012
This recipe is so amazing! One of the first stews that actually thickens up perfectly with no fuss. The only changes I made were an additional cup of red wine and adding beef broth instead of water. Really fabulous and hearty! Dipping artesian bread into this stew is the best thing I've tasted in long time! Thanks for an easy, delicious dish Kathy!

Smokin' Scovilles Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
Holy cow this chili was good! You can't even tell that it is made out of turkey - I made my husband guess what it was and he never did. This chili is even better than the boilermaker chili on this site, which was our favorite until we found this one. The only thing I changed was the type of chili pepper - I couldn't find the one needed so put in an aneheim pepper which is a little more mild. Thanks for a great recipe! YUM!

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2011
I made this for a Chili cook off at the office and won! What a great recipe! People especially liked all the different ingredients without it being too over the top. I had to print off a couple copies and give them away because so many people asked for the recipe! Thanks!

Stuffed Leg of Lamb with Balsamic-Fig-Basil Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2010
Where to start with this dish?... My husband picked this one for Christmas dinner and I was a little leary. I can not believe how well all of the flavors work together! It also looked just beautiful when it was cut and served on the platter, it just looked wonderfully festive. This was a simply delicious dish - the lamb was tender, juicy and such an awesome change to the same old lamb, lemon and cilantro deal. If you want to impress guests with a dish that makes you look like a culinary artist THIS is IT! I still can't believe how wonderful all of the fruit was. I did have to trade the currants for cranberries because I couldn't find them but I am so happy I searched all over town for the other fresh ingredients! Thanks for a wonderful lamb dish!

Perfect Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2010
Oh my God. I can't believe how juicy and tender this turkey was! I asked my husband what was his favorite part of the dinner and he said the turkey... I can't remember the last time I ate a turkey that good. Without a knife in sight. Thanks for an awesome Thanksgiving Turkey! This one is seriously a keeper. I'm going back now to get third's. : )

Very tasty and so easy to prepare! The only thing I changed was an added squeeze of lemon when it came out of the oven. Yum! Thanks for the great recipe.

Award Winning Chili Con Carne

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2010
This was so good that I am going to make some more and enter it a chili cook off at work. I did add some cumin though because I am a big fan. I also made it with fresh tomatoes from the garden instead of canned. Thanks for a great recipe!

Firecracker Scallops

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2010
These are seriously delicious. I love scallops but my husband isn't a big fan so I've been trying to find a recipe that we can both like and share. I made a tester batch last night as an appetizer and he really loved them. I think that having a good quality horseradish sauce is key to this recipe. Thanks for making my husband and I scallop compatible! : )

Italian Breaded Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2010
Wow, really great! I took the advise of one of the gals and "double dipped" the porkchops to make the crust stick better. This was the first time that my breading actually worked! I am a fan of cooking with a cast iron skillet and with this recipe it really matters to get that full flavor - not sure why a lot of people don't use them more. This recipe was awesome and will be made again - thanks for sharing this with us.

Twice Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2010
Not only are these potatoes delicious but they are really pretty simple too. I did make some minor changes and cut the amount of cheese and onions in half - they were seriously yummy. I did think thank that they were a little too salty but that could be because our bacon was cured by a local butcher and has a more full flavor. Next time I will taste the filling beofre I add the salt. : )Thanks for sharing this recipe with everyone! I will be making these for a long time.

Wild Rice Chicken Bake

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2010
This is so easy and delicious! I did substitute some of the ingrediants; instead of the wildrice mix I used fresh wildrice with a packet of french onion flavoring. That seemed to really spice it up nicely but still have all of the flavor. Thanks for a great, easy, quick recipe that looks like you spent all day!
