i added 3 more Tablespoons of flour and 2 teaspoon vanilla. Next time I will add apple and brown sugar and maybe a crumb topping. It was a lot of butter but we liked it.

Yellow Squash Casserole

we don't eat crackers so I used rice chex cereal instead. Next time I will not add salt. I think that was the biggest problem for us.

Cream Cheese Basil Summer Squash

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2013
I did not use basil but I did use dill and lemon pepper and it was awesome. I also cut the cream cheese down to four ounces instead of eight, we don't eat a lot of dairy so that was plenty for our needs. I baked it in the oven at 350 stirring every 10 minutes for 30 minutes.

Roasted Duck

Reviewed: May 23, 2013
This was our first duck, we should have gotten 2 our sons ate this up and us parents had to share our portions. We added rosemary and used seasoned salt instead of salt and pepper. We also cooked ours on a baking rack. Not greasy and great flavor. Our VERY picky son with sever texture aversions ate a ton of it.

Chicken with Lime Butter

Reviewed: May 6, 2013
I have made these time and time again. I add 1 teaspoon of vanilla just because I like vanilla. I have used this recipe for apple muffins. I replaced the bananas with half a can of apple pie filling and added 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1/8 teaspoon of cinnamon. Every thing else was the same. I used this recipe for apple banana muffins all I did was add half a can of apple pie filling. I used this recipe for making peanut butter chocolate chip muffins. I added 1 cup peanut butter and 1/2 cup with chocolate chips. I used this recipe to make banana blueberry muffins. I added 1/2 cup fresh blueberries. I just realized every time I edited it didn't leave a date. This is a simple muffin recipe. I have modified it several times for different events. I use the banana peanut butter one for funerals, the blueberry ones for births, the apple ones for new neighbors. I have used these for anniversary and graduations as well. I am no baker but a great cook and these come out perfect every time.

Chicken Spaghetti Casserole I

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2013
I modified this recipe just a bit. Instead of chicken I used left over ham, I used green onion with tops, and a can of tomatoes and green chilies well drained instead of peppers and pimentos, and Velveeta instead of shredded cheese. I also used creole seasoning and seasoned salt to taste. I also added ¼ cup of sour cream and 1T butter for moisture. I added all these ingredients plus the chopped cook spaghetti, cream of mushroom, and wine to a large bowl and mixed well. Placed the mixture in a 9 X 13 pan and baked for 30 minutes stiring half way through. The smell was awesome!!!! The taste was amazing! My family had 3 large helpings each, no leftovers!

Ham and Brussels Sprout Bake

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2013
My husband loved this dish. My sons and i hated it. To be fair 3 of us don't like brussel spouts so that may have been the problem. It was moist and flavorful just not my thing. My husband ate over half and took the rest with him to work. He said it deserved 4 out of five. He said he would have added more cheese.

Chicken Bog

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2013
After reading all the reviews I made some changes to the recipe. I used two whole chicken breast (4 frozen breasts), one small onion slivered, 4 brats, 4 cups of water, and 3 teaspoons of chicken consume. I used seasoned salt, garlic, lemon pepper, and dill to my taste (I didn’t measure sorry). I brought all that pervious stuff to a boil. I removed the chicken and added the rice (2 cups not instant). I shredded the chicken and added it to the rice mixture. I ended up only using one chicken breast (they were really large) and added a small can of mushrooms on my sons request. I have never had “Chicken Bog” before so I have nothing to compare this to, but it was awesome! My son ate 1 whole cup! I have to admit it was good! I will defiantly make this again.
