Laura's Quick Slow Cooker Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2014
This is so good! I was hesitant to make it because I've never cooked with ground turkey and my family is very picky. But it turned out to be a big hit! I didn't have allspice, I had season all I don't know if it's the same thing but it turned out great! We put shredded cheddar cheese on top and ate it with tortilla chips.

Chicken Quesadillas

This recipe is so good! I put a little bit of canola oil in a skillet and brown the tortillas instead of putting them in the oven, it makes them crispy. My husband LOVES these! I didn't use exact measurements earthed, just eyed it.

Homemade Shake and Bake Mixture

I scale this down to four servings. My husband and son loves this! The celery salt is what makes it. I added tons of fresh minced garlic. I use it for boneless pork chops. Bake at 400°F for 20 minutes.

Sirloin Tips and Mushrooms

This was awesome! I added a bay leaf, thyme, and brown sugar like some of the suggestions said. And cooked it for 30- 40 minutes. I was nervous at first thinking it was going to be too saucy, but it turned out perfect!

Loved it! I added a chopped onion to the hamburger meat when I browned it. And I forgot to add garlic, so I just added some garlic salt instead. It was so good!

The Best Meatballs

Reviewed: May 9, 2014
These are absolutely amazing! I scaled it down to 4 servings and only used ground beef for the meat. And I didn't use near as much olive oil as it called for. I used Parmesan cheese instead of Romano and bread crumbs instead of stale bread. Sorry to the people to hate when someone rates a recipe then says all they've changed about it. This is for my future reference the next time a make this.

Beef Tips and Noodles

I wasn't a huge fan of this. The gravy tasted really good (I added garlic) but I felt like the meat would have been a lot better cooked in a skillet.

I thought this was really really good. But my husband didn't like it at all. He wouldn't eat it. He doesn't like spicy stuff though.

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

If you don't know your hot sauce, do a taste test after the first tbsp. Because mine was unbearably hot. So I ended up adding some pineapple juice and a little bit of water to neutralize it. Also added an extra tbsp of brown sugar and dredged the chicken in flour before cooking it. It turned out amazing!

It was a little bland but cooked perfectly. I felt like it just needed a little kick to it but I'm not sure what spice or herb would be good to add.

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2014
This was really good but also a little too soupy. It wasn't bland at all to me. When I make this again I will probably drain the tomatoes first. My husband wasn't crazy over it because of it being so soupy and also having clumps of tomatoes. I like the clumps though. I browned my meatballs a little before adding it to the sauce and they were really good!

This was so good! I added 2 tbsp of Hershey's cocoa (people swear that's the secret ingredient in good chili.) I also added some cumin. It was really good even before I added it though.
