Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: May 9, 2011
This is a great tasting, really easy to make, thick soup! When given the option of white or black pepper, I ended up using 1/2 tsp of each - turned out wonderful!

Fantastic Pumpkin Bars

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2011
This is a good, moist recipe. I used this recipe and made muffins instead - the baking time was the same. Without the icing, these are quite tasteless, though - mild carrot taste, mild pumpkin taste, and you can barely taste the pineapple but you can see them in there! Maybe because there are so many good ingredients - they cancel each other out??

Oven Fresh Seasoned Potato Wedges

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2011
Very nice, easy recipe for baked instead of fried fries. Obviously, I made fries instead of wedges, and they turned out great! Cooked for 30 minutes. Coat baking pan with spray so that you can easily flip the fries in the process.

Sausage Stuffed Jalapenos

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2011
These were absolutely awesome! Had a lot of mixture left after heaping it on all the jalapenos. Definitely, the larger the jalapenos the better. A pound and a half jalapenos might be sufficient to not let the mix go to waste and prevent excessive oozing when baking :) .

Potato Latkes I

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2011
Very good! Took some time for me to figure out how long before flipping to get a nice brown side, but once that was more or less mastered - the recipe was nice and tasty :)

Moroccan Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2011
Nice and spicy lentil soup here loaded with vegetables! Moroccan or not Moroccan - who cares. It tastes great! I did use chicken broth instead of water as others have suggested.

Mike's Mushroom Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2011
Very Yummy! Lots of mushrooms and onions, but all for the good! There is no need to saute the mushrooms beforehand as others have done. The onions and mushrooms cook well in the butter cheese mixture. The crust turns out nice and crusty, too! Good recipe!

Barbie's Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2011
I was expecting flavors to really stand out here, but, the relish seemed to be the only ingredient that made this have pizazz. Couldn't taste or notice the parmesan cheese whatsoever (even though the description says this makes this tuna "stand out"). As a sandwich, nuke one slice of Colby cheese on one slice of bread, then add tuna mixture - makes it quite yummy.

Garlic Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2011
Was a decent deviled egg recipe with garlic. Nothing too outstanding here in flavor or texture, though.

Roasted Garlic Cauliflower

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2011
This isn't a bad recipe, just kinda bland in flavor. Without a dip, double or triple the shredded cheese for taste! I kept the pan covered the whole way through and baked on 400 - the steam with cook and soften the cauliflower, but do stir otherwise burning will occur!

Lentil Soup with Lemon

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2011
Absolutely wonderful! There really is no need to mix this in a blender once you're done cooking. If you cooked on medium heat most of the recipe, the beans and liquid just start breaking down itself. Fabulous recipe!

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2011
Wow. This was incredible! Took everyone's suggestion on adding the sugar only after the rice has the correct consistency. Also, added 1 tsp vanilla extract instead of a 1/2 tsp. Wonderful when topped with nutmeg and cinnamon!!!

Baked Salmon II

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2011
I listened to all the other reviewers and used only 2 Tbsp of olive oil + 1 Tbsp of butter. Scaled down on the herbs as well. It was good. Very lemony, but good. Plus, it was nice and easy to cook - and this was very important to me!

Bacon-Balsamic Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2011
Excellent ingredients and excellent texture! The bacon is awesome mixed into this. The only thing I'd do differently the second time 'round is to omit the sugar and double the balsamic vinegar. I still can't figure out why'd you want to add sugar to this!

Special Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2011
These were nice and tasty! Didn't alter the ingredients one bit. Who wouldn't want a heaping deviled egg (don't hold back on the relish or anything!)?? I had to hold back one star due to the instructions on how to cook the eggs. As written, the eggs do not come out fully cooked. Thought I'd follow the instructions exactly and see what happened, but I think I'll stick to my way next time.

Pineapple Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2011
Very nice and easy bread pudding, but . . . you really, really need a sauce to go with this! Modified the ingredients as almost everyone else did and only used 1 stick butter (1/2 cup) and only 1/4 c sugar (since there is plenty of sugar in the pineapples. Recommendation - don't drain the pineapples if you want your pudding to be moist.

Great sauce to accompany any bread pudding. Followed the directions as written and the rum is not over powering. The texture is awesome.

Tofu Creamed Spinach

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2011
Good and healthy! Doubled the onions and garlic amount for taste and texture. Maybe some garlic powder would make it tastier??
