Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2014
My kids devoured this and are looking forward to the leftovers. I love how quick and easy it is - great recipe! I didn't change anything except to melt some provolone on top of the chicken. Served with corn on the cob. Delicious!!

My kids said these brownies should be illegal, they are that good! Followed recipe exactly, no complaints. Fudgey, chewy ridiculously yummy! Wouldn't change a thing. Thank you for an amazing recipe! Would give ten stars if I could.

Cracked Sugar Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2013
I needed two tries with this recipe. The first time, I used chilled butter and tried to combine it with the sugar by hand. I must have warmed the butter in my hands too much because when I made the first batch, the whole thing melted together. I tried to refrigerate what was left of the dough, but then used a warm cookie tray. Big mistake. I've since learned that I should only use cooled cookie trays, and leave these cookies shaped in a ball. Don't flatten them or they won't have the fluffy consistency inside. My second go was much better. Combined slightly softened butter into the sugar with only my fingertips to avoid warming it too much. Then I mixed in the egg yolks and vanilla with a silicone spatula/spoon. Worked like a charm. Then I also worked in the dry goods a bit at a time until a nice dough ball formed. It was a bit crumbly in places, but as I worked them into balls, they held together well. After baking for 11 minutes, the tops were cracked, the bottoms slightly browned and chewy, chewy, chewy on the inside! I adore this recipe. I rolled the last batch in cinnamon sugar, and those were yummy too! After my 2 batch learning curve, I definitely will be making them again. By the way...three batches of cookies and I will be lucky to have ten left by tomorrow. My husband and kids are devouring these and calling them the best cookies ever! Thanks so much for an amazing recipe, and happy holidays to all!

Pretzel Turtles

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2013
Easy, easy, easy!!! I followed the recipe exactly (except I used pretzel snaps), and they came out amazing. I used rolos for most of them (to give away), but made a special small batch with dove chocolates, and of course the dove chocolates were tastier. My kids tasted them and promptly melted to the floor in candy happiness. I quadrupled the rolo recipe and still didn't have enough - they absolutely disappeared at the party we attended. Thanks so much for a quick, easy and DELICIOUS recipe!! Definitely a keeper.

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2013
Best pancakes we have ever had. I doubled the recipe for my three boys and husband, and I had to fight for the last two. They were THAT good! I followed the recipe as is, except I added a tsp of vanilla. We are making them again today. Thank you for an excellent recipe!

Quick Chili II

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2013
Yummmmmmm....I think this is the best chili I have ever made, and I make chili A LOT. I usually don't mess with recipes, since I am not that adventurous a cook, but this time I had to because I was short on time and ingredients. But I feel confident reviewing the recipe since I don't think my changes altered the outcome that much. I followed the recipe as closely as I could, but I only had an 8 oz can of tomato sauce so it came out a bit thin. I threw in what I had on hand: some Emiril gaaaaarlic tomato sauce and an 8 oz can of tomato paste to thicken it up. I didnt have enough red beans at home so I substituted on can of white northern beans for the ranch beans. Also, I browned the meat and then dumped all the ingredients in a slow cooker for 4 hours. I wouldn't normally do this, since the cook time is so quick, but we had a crazy afternoon and I didn't want to worry about dinner. I served it over bowtie pasta to give it some "oomph", and we were happy campers. The kids and I agreed that this will be our new "go-to" recipe. Thanks so much!!
