This is a good recipe, and much easier than my grandma's chicken n dumplings. It definitely needs some seasoning though. I add parsley, cumin, basil, and garlic to the soup mixture and instead of using water to cover I use chicken broth. I also added 2 tablespoons of flour mixed with cold water before adding the biscuits, just to make the sauce a little thicker. When it comes to the biscuits I only use 1 can of dough and cook them for about two hours. I take the biscuits and thin them out a little and then cut them into quarters, pushing then down into the soup mix so they taste like dumplings. I have also made this recipe with and without adding carrots and it doesn't seem to make any difference.
