Classic Hash Browns

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2014
This is how I always make mine. Simple, with no egg, flour, etc. The only difference is I make separate "patties" or layer the bottom of the whole pan and when crispy on the bottom, I flip them. Crispy on outside and soft on the inside. My family loves them. You can add other things like bacon, onion, etc to your own liking. The key is do not turn them until crispy. Be patient while they brown.

Beer Dip I

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2013
Excellent recipe! Great with crackers and pretzels. It is thicker, so if you want it smoother, add a bit more beer. I think adding green onions would be great. I actually got this recipe from Hilltop Tavern. They have it on their salad bar and served with crackers, pretzels and bread. Yummy!!!

Very good. Made bread as recipe states. Only thing I did was add a handful of chocolate chips and stirred through. Very good banana bread.

Broccoli Cheese Soup V

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2013
I made this as written, except that I used 1 head of cauliflower and 1 32 ounce bag frozen broccoli. It is very good, thick and creamy. I will try it again, using another reviewers idea of using 1/2 cheddar cheese and 1/2 velveeta. That sounds even yummier. This is a no fail recipe and you can tweek it however, you wish. This is definitely a keeper. Restaurant quality.

Oatmeal Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2011
Great recipe. I added about 1/4 cup cocoa to give a little chocolate flavor. Also replaced butter with butter flavored Crisco, as this is what I had on hand. To make it healthier, I replaced the white sugar with regular Splenda. I think this would be good with dates or raisins added along with the chocolate chips. These were excellent. Crispy outside, chewy inside. However, I would like to know nutritional information.

Pickle Rollups

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2010
These are a big hit everytime I take them to a party. They are gone almost immediately. I do use sliced luncheon ham instead, but will definitely try with pastrami. I spread cream cheese on the ham, place either baby pickles on or dill spears. Then I roll them up tightly and cut into about 1- 1 12 inch pieces. You can use toothpicks if you choose to hold together, but I find it is a waste and they look better without. Makes alot. I used one package (16 ounce) ham, one package cream cheese and 1 1/2 tall jars baby pickles. YUMMY!!

Easiest Egg Nog

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2010
I think this is excellent!!!! I made this for 8 servings and used eggbeaters in place of the eggs. I added more nutmeg per my own taste (about 4 dashes) , about 1 tsp. of rum extract and 1/2 packet of the regular size instant vanilla pudding, to help thicken just slightly. Used 2% milk. I love this recipe. It tastes like the store bought, but not so thick where it leaves a coating on your tongue and throat. Eggbeaters keeps it healthier for all the little ones at my house and for the hearth healthy. Will definitely make again and again.

Melt In Your Mouth Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2009
Made this recipe according to directions. Used 6 boneless pork ribs instead of chops. Used others suggestions for low sodium sauces, which still turned out way too salty. So I did add a can of crushed pineapple to help cut saltiness. Good, but still very salty. Will have to make again and just use half amount of sauces so it is not so salty. I also added a 28 oz can of La Choy stir fry vegies with their juices and a little brown sugar. I put this over Kame Rice Stick noodles. Yummy. Kids enjoyed it.
