This is a great recipe, as is. I feel so much better using the home made then using it from the box. Great recipe, my husband gives his approval

Apple Pie Filling

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2013
We love this recipe! Of course I read the other reviews and adjusted the water and maybe the sugar (after a while, recipes run together lol). I did make one addition, I added cranberries to 4 of the quarts I made. I just bought more cranberries so when I make this again, I will have them on hand to add to the whole batch! The pie with the cranberries lasted overnight before it was gone

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2013
This is the 2nd time in a week that I am making this recipe. My husband loved it that much. The first time, I put the 'crisp' mixture on the bottom as well as on the top. I also use fresh apples, make them into a recipe on here for apple pie filling (for the freezer), but used them instead of freezing them. SO good!! I also use less water and a little less sugar in the apples then that recipe calls for and don't measure the nutmeg or cinnamon

Dessert Crepes

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2012
I read in a 'gourmet' article about crepes, their recipe was right on with this one, their article said that once all of the ingredients are blended - in a blender - to let them rest for an hour, chilled. That allows the protien to break down and the flour to obsorb the air. Also to continually mix while making. Also said that you can make these up to 5 days ahead and they can be froze up to 2 months. Put freezer paper in between layers and allow to thaw in refridgerator 1 day prior to using. I can't wait to make this recipe! I am adding 2 tsp. vanilla

Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2011
I am excited to try this, my husband loves rice pudding and he picked this one out , from all of them. I've read all the other comments - a little less milk, a little more sugar & cinnamon. I'm excited (oh and a little more rice too)....I have to change my rating of this pudding. I made it 2 days ago and it's gone! My husband asked for more and is even on his way to the store to get supplies! 2 C. milk (total), 1 C. rice, 1 C. sugar, up cin & van. looks runny at first but turns out great!

Amazingly Good Eggnog

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2010
I made the mistake of making this eggnog.....and sharing it. I guess that was two mistakes lol. Now they either want the recipe or want me to make more of it. I've made it with heavy cream, and with coconut rum, both options work out very well. I've also left some without rum, that works well also. I honestly don't see how you can mess up this recipe. At first I thought I did, because the milk kind of scalds on the bottom of the pan, if it's not a heavy pan, but it works out fine. Again, i think this is a fool proof recipe! Even non eggnog drinkers love it

Country Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2009
I added chopped celery and used turkey gravy instead of chicken also used american cheese instead of what is called for. That all went very well but recipe turned out a little too moiste for my taste. Next time I make it I'll decrease the milk, or omite it all together. Baked it for an hour before I put the cheese on which browned very nicely.
