Cabbage on the Grill
I loved this! I received a big head of cabbage from my CSA basket and had never eaten or prepared cabbage before. I love how simple the recipe was since I had everything on hand. A lot of other recipes for cabbage seemed like a lot of work (or stink) and smothered in mayo. I did what a few other reviews said- put a half a stick of butter in there,salt and pepper, and real minced garlic. mmmm. I even tried it on the stovetop in the same manner. So easy and sooo very good.

Best Black Beans
This is definitely a keeper! My kids are vegetarians by their own accord so I try to find new ways to incorporate beans into our meals. This was an awsome change. I loved the taste and would make this over and over. I took the recommendation to saute the onions and then add the garlic. Add the seasonings (I just threw in dashes instead of measuring and added salt and pepper). I do not like the liquid in the can of beans and always drain and rinse them so to make up for lack of liquid I threw some chicken broth (which i had in the fridge) but water would do fine too. Waited until most of the wliquid had evaporated and the beans were warm and to the consistancy I like. It doesn't look so pretty, so everyone kind of gave me a look and said what is this- I will admit even I was nervous about how it would end up tasting. Once you put that first bite in your mouth though, you will be asking for more! Definitely make a double batch if you have a family of 4+ as it disappears quickly.

White Chili II
I must say I did not like how some of the seasonings came together in this. I have never eaten white chili before (we really only make red beefy chili) and wanted to try new beans. I didn't care for the sage and really could taste the ginger. It felt out of place... I really had no idea what to expect with this chili but I found it to be just OK. I used a rotisserie chicken because I forgot to thaw out my chicken and I dont like nuking them. I don't feel like that was the right move with the chili... I would stick with the recipe and cubed your chicken. It made the chili extremely thick- so thick I ended up putting a lot more broth into it. Which in the end it did not need.
