I was looking for a Pot Roast recipe as close to my Mom's as I could and this one is basically identical to what I wanted. I modified it a bit and put some beef base, worcestershire sauce and about a 1/4 cup of red wine in the 1 cup of water that gets poured in. I also added garlic and some garlic and onion powder for more flavor. Those probably weren't neccesary but it was more to taste and to have a heart gravy. After the cooking time I made gravy out of the juices on the stovetop adding a bit of red wine again and then corn starch to thicken over heat and was excellent as well! Such an easy, tasty and economical meal for the family!! I highly recommend this one!
