Best Toffee Ever - Super Easy
I just made this tonight, unfortunately without the chocolate or almonds. The toffee was still really good on it's own. I had made it at 1:30 am, so couldn't run to the store, so I made do with what I had. I followed some of the other tips here, and also added a small amount of amaretto flavouring, just to spice things up a bit. My husband, who usually can't eat hard candies, is still sitting there licking the toffee chunks to death! Thank you very much for the awesome recipe!
EDIT: I made this again for a family reunion about 2 weeks ago, this time using a little vanilla extract, and actually having the chocolate. It was a hit! I even had people tell me that they hadn't had it in years, and that it was something their grandmother used to make. I will definitely be making this many times, for years to come.
