About this Cook
I'm 36 & a single mom of a darling baby girl.I've been cooking since I was 9.My mom taught me how to fry an egg & bake bread @ age 9,I experimented from there to learn new foods to make ,Grandmother gave me a set of international cookbooks @ 17 and I used them alot.Never be afraid of a new recipe,it's just an new world waiting to be tasted.
My favorite things to cook
dark chocolate cheesecake,port wine pork roast,enchiladas guaca-verde,texas style gunpowder chili,tomato chicken,lasagna(from scatch),coconut lime salmon.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Scratch cooking,and wing-it cooking
My cooking tragedies
tandoori chicken, rarely can I afford the saffron to make this dish properly ingredient wise, and I lack a Tandoor(clay oven).1st time I made it ,it was too salty & looked like pepto bismal.lol.

Pumpkin Flower Soup (Sopa de Flor de Calabaza)
I used butternut squash instead of zuchinni, forgot to add the corn, used a pasilla instead of a pablano and evaporated milk for the heavy cream.Been wanting to try this since "A walk in the clouds".Very tasty !

Mexican Wedding Cakes I
I make these abit more indulgent by wrapping the dough around a chocolate kiss before baking. Then continuing on as normal and rolling them in the powdered sugar.
