Cranberry Pistachio Biscotti

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2010
I read some suggestions here and I did the following: 1. I reduced pistachio to 1 cup (ok, that I did from laziness, because I had to "pill" these. 2. I added 1/2 TBSP of orange juice, I had no extract, so I used what I had 3. I wish I increased cranberries to 1 cup (will do next time) 4. I covered logs with towel once I took them out of oven and they didn't crack 5. I think mine needed a little bit longer than 35 min, they were pretty soft when I cut them (on other hand it was super easy to cut) 6. I used cold water for my hands - it was very helpful. Overall it was SUPER easy to make and they are SUPER tasty :)

Exquisite Pizza Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2010
I used fresh basil and cooked it on the stove for 5-7 min. It was great. i used the original amount of cayenne pepper (doubled it since I had not pepper flakes) and it had a very nice spicy kick to it. I reduced the amount of honey, but ended adding some more. So as a conclusion, I wouldn't change a thing (aside of adding fresh herbs if you have these). It is spicy, s take it into account.

Blackberry Puff Pastry Tarts

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2010
Made these yesterday, turned out great! My hubby said - it is "just like from a bakery" :) I followed the recipe exactly. These were great the next day, didn't warm them, just kept them in the plastic container over night.

Muffin Frittatas

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2010
The only small issue I had with those - was taking them out of the pan... But I slided the knife around the edges and could take them easily after that... Beside that - the taste was very nice, very light. Will definitely do again, especially if I have guests (after taking these out - they look very pretty)

Jewish Apple Cake I

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2010
It turned out great! Delicious and moist! I did what others suggested: mixed apples with sugar and cinnamon. I also created 3 layers of apples. People mentioned that it was "just like from the good bakery" :) I baked it for 75 min on 350F - didn't burn, was ust perfect...

Raspberry Lemon Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2010
We loved these! I used vanilla fat free yogurt (this is what I had) and fresh raspberries - and it turned out perfect! very light and juicy. These looked very "pale" and I was a little bit scared they are not done yet - but 17 min was perfect time!

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2010
I don't have a bread machine, so I used my food processor to make the dough. I used reviews from the recipe and work at the "old fashion way". I followed instruction for my food processor regarding mixing the ingredients (flour goes together with butter and salt and later on slowly adding the "wet" ingredients) . It turned out perfect! WE LOVED these! Definitely will make again... An update (11/17/2010) I froze some of these by wrapping individually each roll in foil. Before dinner I just took these out, let them stand for sometime and put in the oven (still wrapped in foil) (350F) for some time (until soft). Worked like a charm. I also do the same trick with any frozen bread, always gives a great, soft, fresh bread.

Jalapeno Snacks

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2010
I had to change the recipe a little bit, because we do not eat bacon, so I just left it out. It turned out great! and it could pass as vegetarian dish now :) I didn't have any Ranch dressing, so I skipped this one too. I did however substitute garlic powder for the frozen minced garlic by Dorot (which is pretty close to the fresh minced one) - I think it made a great twist to the recipe... I would advice to try it... Beside that - we LOVED it!!! Thank you for sharing :)

Peach Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2010
We loved it, didn't change the recipe at all, it was a little bit runny, but I think if I let it sit longer it won't be. The taste was great!

Rainbow Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2009
I prepared it yesterday for a party - and everyone loved it! it looked so nice and fun. I used reviews and did one at the time, let it sit for 40-60 min and added another layer. I used grape jello too - and didn't like it. There was 2-years old kid at the party- and she asked for second :) We had the "argument" if it is better to keep all layers without the milk. Still didn't decide...

Slow Cooker Cranberry Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2009
It was my first pot roast ever and it turned out very nice! I brought it to potluck dinner and it was gone completely. Mine was not too sweet, but just right. I used the whole cranberries sauce, and I used Israeli (Osem) onion soup mix. I believe this one can be more salty than others. I used some reviews here and 4 hours before end of cooking I added some baby carrots and potatoes and sprinkle a little bit onion soup on the top. I had to take it out 30 min earlier due to the dinner time, and I wish I hold it in for the full 8 hours. Thank you! Loved it, will do again

Albondigas

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2009
My husband wanted me to rate it, because he loved it so much! I did use the medium salsa and it turned out spicy enough, so I didn't add any additional paprika or Cajun. I did add diced tomatoes and i decided to add fresh green beans - which were a great addition to the vegetables in the soup. would definitely prepare it again!
