Simple White Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2004
I made this twice last week, for both my daughter's birthdays. The first time I followed the recipe exactly, and the cupcakes were a little dry, but still edible. The second time, I upped the vanilla to a full tablespoon and added about 1/8 cup more milk. They came out very moist and delicious!

Excellent frosting! We used Wilbur cocoa powder, and it was divine! Not bitter, not too sweet...just perfect.

Todd's Famous Blueberry Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2004
Only made 6 small to average sized pancakes for us, but that was wnough to fill the four of us. They were also on the heavy side, as opposed to light and fluffy, but they were still quite tasty.

Rosemary Pork Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2004
I am not much of a fan of pork roast, but my husband wanted one for New Year's day. I looked over every recipe on here, and decided on this one since we had everything we needed on hand for it. I think it changed my mind about pork roasts! It was absolutely delicious! It was tender, juicy, and very flavorful...very unlike every other pork roast I have ever had before this one.

Quick, easy, delicious pancakes! I needed to replace my lost banana pancake recipe, and decided to give this one a try...I am glad the other one got lost! Even out 9 month old liked them!

Best Ever Chewy Chocolate Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2001
I just threw out all my other chocolate chip cookie recipes! We have made this recipe three times now, and they are wonderful! Chewy, but not doughy, and very flavorful! The last time I added cocoa powder too...triple chocolate chip!

Savory Garlic Marinated Steaks

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2001
Great marinade! Even my picky five-year-old who almost NEVER eats meat liked it! We added more garlic, and used hickory smoke salt instead of the liquid smoke and regular salt, and used garlic powder instead of onion powder, and they were wonderful! This one's a keeper!

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2001
I used 1/2 whole wheat bread flour and 1/2 unbleached bread flour, instead of bleached flour. This bread came out light and airy (but not full of air bubbles like some breads). Slightly sweet, very flavorful and very similar to the bread available at the Amish farmers market stands. This recipe is a keeper!
