Best Brownies

WOW!!! ok, they are a bit chewy but whether they are fudgy or not, the taste will still be the same..and thats all that matters in the end!! THE TASTE, PEOPLE!! I made mine in a 9in square pan so they came out to a bit over 1/2 an inch thick..I added 3/4 of a cup semi sweet chocolate chips which add a great real chocolatey flavor instead of just a cocoa flavor..and sprinkled chopped walnuts on top...thay came out amazing..I rate the recipe 5 stars but rate mine 6=) and I am extremely picky when it comes to brownies..if you like your brownies more fudgy, just put less flour...but try the original recipe first and then tweak it..I am about to make another batch..except this time I'm going to make more batter...not doubling..just making 24 servings in the same 9 in square pan so they come out thicker..so I will add 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips to this batch..also, I did not make the frosting. I don't like frosting and don't need the extra calories..oh..I only bakes mine for 22 min and it came out perfect..I inserted a toothpick in the middle and when it came out almost clean, I took the brownies out of the oven because they will continue to bake once you take them out(until they cool)..so much for all my kickboxing classes this entire week=) so worth it!!! UPDATE..just made the the next batch..24 servings in a 9in pan for 27 min and not a sec. longer..these are just a tad under an inch thick(perfect) and very fudgy! First batch got a bit hard once they cooled..not these!=)

Szechwan Shrimp

I probably won't make this again..I have been cooking since I was 5yrs old...lol..not a joke though...I don't know..this recipe just did not work well with me or my finacee...he loves my cooking and everything I usually make is loved by everybody even the most pickiest eaters..this sauce was way too ketchupy for me..did not taste asian at all...I even added fresh ginger to it to give it more of an asian flavored dish...it wasn't bad..but a waste of all the shrimp I used...I really don't understand how this was rated so high...it blows my mind..I'm not a very picky eater but to call this szechwan shrimp...thats what I was expecting..not trying to be mean by any means...just trying to give it my honest opinion...maybe omitting the ketchup all together and adding more honey would have made it taste more authentic to me..=/

Whit's Chicken Enchiladas

I added bell peppers and 1/2 fresh chopped cilantro..along with chil powder, 1/2 cube of boullion, cumin...and then before I added cheese on top..I added green chili enchilada sauce by hatch topping the cheese off with sour cream..(light)..no heavy cream:)

Killer Shrimp Soup

Killer shrimp is reopening in the summer 2010...:) Also, there is a can of budweiser used not wine...and yes ONE whole stick of butter was used in each bowl...my friend worked there for many years at the studio city location...also, this recipe is very close...I put a bottle and a half of budweiser beer...noticed there was something still missing...I added 4 large chicken cubes(knorr), 4 oz tomato paste, and milk...yes, milk...and it tasted more like the original..the original had a somewhat creamy texture and cloudy appearance...I went there for 13yrs practically 2-3X a month...anywho...it's still not the same..and I didn't rate it based on my version..I made it according to the recipe first...and my own version I rate it 4 stars...but 5 stars is only for the original!! I just can't believe nobody has still been able to get the exact recipe from someone ..lol =(
