Whole Wheat Honey Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2005
I've been looking for a wheat bread recipe that didn't require white flour and now I have found it! I didn't change a thing in testing it and the bread was soft and moist and it rose up just right. It was a tad bit too sweet for our family, so I will use less honey next time. Great Recipe!

Tofu Parmigiana

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2005
This is an easy recipe, no matter how you "tweak" it, if at all. It is one of the few ways I can get the family to eat tofu. Great recipe!!

Barbeque Halibut Steaks

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2005
This recipe gets raves every time I make it and it will become a permanent recipe in my kitchen. Most of the time I only cook for two, so there is plenty of sauce for two halibut steaks or filets. When the weather is not good for grilling, I preheat the oven to 400 with the broiling pan inside. Once heated, I throw the fish on the hot pan and cook until flakey. Good stuff!

Bob's Awesome Lasagna

Yep, Bob! It really is awesome! I guess there is no point in me cooking sauce all day long any more. Everybody loves this recipe!

Pot Roast in Foil

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2005
Yum! I've used the same ingredients in a crock pot over the years, but this method of cooking made the roast even better.

Quick and Easy Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2006
This was good for a quick dinner, just as it implies. I added celery and was glad I did and I had plenty of sauce with two chicken breasts. It isn't necessarily something I would put together for company but it's great for a fast meal.

Wild Rice and Asparagus Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2006
This is a good recipe that my picky eaters even liked. I left out the brown sugar to cut some of the carbs and may even cut the rice next time. It's one of those recipes that you can easily experiment with.

Butternut Squash Soup II

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2006
I love this soup! I also omitted the butter to save on fat and calories and it is still a perfect lunch that keeps me feeling satisfied most of the day. Great for my diet!

Herb and Chicken Pasta

This was okay, but a little too bland for us.

Hot Spinach and Artichoke Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2006
This was good and I like all the ingredients individually, but this is probably a 5 star recipe for those who prefer oil and vinegar recipes. I prefer something a little less tangy and that is the only reason I gave it only 4 stars.

This is one of my favorite soup recipes. I never get a chance to try to freeze it, everybody loves it and it is gone in no time.

Baked Salmon Fillets Dijon

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2006
I didn't particularly care for this, but my husband raved about it, so I didn't know exactly how to rate it. After seeing all the other great reviews, I will chalk my own unimpressed experience up to the cut of fish and give it another chance. Otherwise, I would have rated it a 3.

Feta Chicken

Great recipe when you want something different. I also used fresh basil and chopped up a small roma tomato and mixed it into the feta cheese. Quick and easy recipe.

Asparagus Cashew Rice Pilaf

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2006
This was very good and easy to make. I will probably cut back on the butter next time for a healthier dish. I have also made this with slivered almonds, which I think I prefer.

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2006
TAKE NOTICE that this recipe is ready in 2 hours before you do like I did and scan to the bottom and see 30 minutes. I mixed the ingredients before I realized my error and the chops were already browning in the skillet. Duh, I knew better than not to read the recipe first! I ended up just dumping everything into the skillet and it took 20 minutes and my husband loved it. I found it a bit too fatty (fried) but it did have a very good flavor.

We loved this! I used a little more ginger and steamed it in my Handy Steamer that I had only used for veggies until this point, and it was very nice.

Banana Pancakes I

These were good and easy. Next time I will use large bananas instead of medium, and probably increase the baking powder by another teaspoon.
