Great recipe! Added mushrooms and bell peppers. Used hot chili seasoning mix and turn out yummy. Lots of folks loved this chili which I served at my son's camping themed birthday party.

Beaker's Vegetable Barley Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2011
Good basic recipe that's healthy. My 4 year old and my friend's 2 year old ate it up. Love that it's so easy to make. I soaked the barley for a few hours to speed up the cooking time. Only took 30 mins of simmering.

Roasted Red Pepper Tapenade

Love garlic so the flavor is great but it overpowers everything else. Anyone have ideas on what to pair this with to tone down the flavors but also compliment something else?

Tasty Lentil Tacos

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2011
Really yummy and tastes similar to ground beef! One thing I suggest is to soak the lentils overnight. It took 1.5 hours to cook the lentils and they were still not quite done. We ended up opening a can of refried beans for the tacos so that we could have dinner.

Chicken and Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
Really good. My husband loved it and my 3 year old ate it up. Modified by using 1/4 C of mayo and 1/2 C of yogurt. Also used condensed mushroom soup. Next time would add mushrooms too.

American Lasagna

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
Update on this lasagna. Made this time with pastured ground lamb using crushed tomatoes and an extra can of diced tomatoes. Lots of garlic and basil. Cooked in convection oven for too long so the edges burned but it was still a big hit at party. Recommend one hour in this type of oven. ----------- Made with sauteed ground goat meat with about 6 cloves of garlic and added a 2nd bottle of TJ's spaghetti sauce. It was a huge hit at my holiday party!

Easy Chicken and Broccoli Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2010
Nice comfort food and easy to make as a one dish meal. I used cooked brown rice and two large chicken breasts boiled in water, cooled and cubed. Used one condensed mushroom soup and one regular mushroom soup because I didn't have another condensed one. Skipped almonds because I didn't have any. Turned out good. Both my husband and 2 year old who doesn't eat broccoli ate it up!
