Super-Delicious Zuppa Toscana
OOoooh my goodness, sooo tasty! There's a reason this recipe is so highly rated! I just made this soup a few days ago and have been feasting on the leftovers since then, and it only improved during its time in my fridge! I just finished it yesterday, but already I am contemplating making more.
Next time I make it I think I will either use hot italian sausage, or add more chili flakes, because I love things spicy. This soup had a kick to it, but nothing too extreme in case anyone was worried. Oh, and I also used kale instead of spinach, and it held up beautifully in my leftovers.
Also, I didn't drain the sausage as well as i should have and the grease was really orange, and made the soup less appetizing looking. I ended up cooling the soup and skimming the top layer of orange off before reheating and serving.
