Molasses Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
Loved them! I had never eaten or baked molasses cookies before, but I was looking for a warming Christmas cookie. These are delicious and beautiful when rolled in sugar! I followed the recipe exactly, other than refridgerating - I didn't, and mine didn't even come close to being flat, and they were still really easy to handle. Will have to stop myself from making these all the time!

Original Recipe French Toast

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2011
Yum!! I didn't have any sweet bread, but I used a nice thick potato bread which is pretty much the same consistency as the Hawaiian bread called for. I followed the recipe exactly except for adding the vanilla - didn't realize I was out after Thankgiving. However, this is the first time I haven't used vanilla extract in my french toast, and it was the best batch I've ever made! It really allows the butter from frying to shine through and I much preferred it. Served it with sliced bananas on the side, and real maple syrup (makes all the difference). Great basic recipe!

Mini Pumpkin Butterscotch Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2011
Yum! Bakery quality! I followed the recipe exactly except used white chocolate chips instead of butterscotch because I didn't have any on hand! These muffins came out so moist and fluffy and DELICIOUS I can hardly believe I made them. I used all fresh, quality ingredients (other than the pumpkin, which was canned, but organic!) and find that it really makes a difference in my baking.

Butter Chickpea Curry

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2011
I must admit, I mostly used this recipe for inspiration. I used butter chicken paste from Kitchens of India (which is GREAT) and omitted any extra spices, oil, the soup and the milk. I used half of a yellow onion, a whole can of chickpeas, and about 6 red potatoes cut up. DELICIOUS.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2009
This bread was wonderful! I had 6 bananas rotting away on the counter and, as a college student, hate to waste, so I looked up recipes and this was the one that I had all the ingredients for already in my pantry. I am so glad I made it, three quarters of the loaf has been devoured by me and my boyfriend in less than 24 hours. Very moist, just sweet enough, filling as a breakfast, and it used up all my bananas!
