About this Cook
I have traveled to a lot of places while I was growing up as a military dependent and I have a passion for trying new and wonderful food from restaurants and recipe books. Sometimes I like to create my own.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook seafood in many different ways, in pastas and rice dishes. I also love making Blue Crabs smothered in a lemon, garlic, butter sauce. Steaks on the grill is also another favorite
My favorite family cooking traditions
when we all get together for the holidays and everyone picks their favorite dish to make and enjoy a huge potluck and great conversations
My cooking triumphs
Pulling off a great Thanksgiving dinner for 20
My cooking tragedies
after making a beautiful candle -light dinner (Steaks) for my fiance, while setting up the table my long hair fell into the candle and caught my hair on fire. While I was washing the dead hair off the dog jumped on the table and ate the dinner I made. Well the dog had a great dinner and I had to call for pizza as backup.

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings
Love this recipe. After making this, I hesitate about ordering chicken wings from a restaurant because I know it won't be as good as this. Thanks for sharing

Jalapeno Popper Spread
When I saw this recipe I couldn't wait to try it. I have a candleshow coming up in a couple of weeks and have been looking at different recipes but I like to try them out before making it for anyone. Wow! This is a good one. I didn't have the green chilies on hand and did not have the amount of cream cheese to make the large serving. I used 1/2 cup jared jalepenos instead and used 1/4 cup sour cream and 2 Tbs. Mayo and 4 oz. cream cheese. I also mixed in 1/2 cup shredded cheddar then topped with the breadcrumb and italian cheese mix. This made enough for 2 I used a little soufle dish and baked for 1/2 hour. I crisped up some flatbread to make like crackers, was excellant. I will use this for my party and any event I have coming up. Thanks for sharing a wonderful recipe Denise.
