About this Cook
I am a stay at home mom of two boys, one with special needs. They keep me on my toes all day but I still manage to cook home made meals every day.
My favorite things to cook
I love to experiment with new recipies! Especially ethnic dishes. My kids are picky eaters but I still try new dishes on them.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love to cook Lasagna as I make my tomato sauce the homemade way. Just as my mother taught me when I was 12!In the summer months my BBQ is my best friend as we are always grilling and having guests over. Christmas its baking different Italian cookies and cakes.Food is the mainstay of family gatherings.

Chicken Marsala
THis recipe has a strong wine flavouring I do not like. I added 1 cup water and omitted the sherry. Also I skipped the flour coating and instead breaded the chicken with beaten egg and seasoned italian breadcrumbs. First partially frying the cutlets till browned. Adds anice flavour and helps to thicken the sauce a bit. Family loves it this way. Mild flavouring for picky eaters.

Mama's Italian Wedding Soup
This is the best recipe for Italian wedding soup I have found. Very close to my mom's recipe from the old country. I make this every once in a while as it is time consuming. This was usually reserved for Sunday lunches and holidays.
