First, I did not alter the recipe at all the first time I make it and it received 3 stars for the high liquid content of the gravy. I used corn starch to thicken. I never understood why people give 4 and 5 stars for a recipe they alter. I made this roast again to my taste. I added a dry sherry, half the soup and kept it undiluted. I seared the roast on all sides with a rub of flour, garlic powder, onion powder, seasoned salt, dry beef broth, and a touch of nutmeg. I cooked on low for 3 hours and high for 2. It was fantastic.
