About this Cook
I am a proud wife and stay at home mother of one! I love to cook, and eat. More than anything I love to find great food that I can make myself that my family will enjoy.
My favorite things to cook
Chicken, baked goods, crock pot meals, soups, casseroles, anything with fresh veggies, salsa, and of course sweets!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother was a learn as you go no recipe kind of lady so everything had to taste amazing but it was never the same twice. I want to save tradition for my daughter so that she can make her favorite meals for herself and family when I am gone.
My cooking triumphs
Lemon seasoned chicken, cookies galore, crock pot cheesy chicken, quiche, garlic chicken, pesto pastas.
My cooking tragedies
Just about everything! When I started I knew nothing about cooking it took a lot of burned uneatable meals when me and hubby first lived together for me to be able to make some good food. Now that I can do that I want to make great food!

Candied Yams
I made these for Thanksgiving this year. They were a huge hit. My 1.5 year old daughter loved them, and they were the perfect extra on the big day :)

English Royalty Chocolate Chip Scones
I'd never made scones before trying this but was eager to try! I followed recipe exactly and realized it was a smidgen too dry. I added a little more OJ until the mix was moist enough to stick together but not enough to make the dough sticky. They were perfect! I made another batch a week later and was just as pleased with them the second time around :)
