Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2014
I liked these cookies a lot! Just right, crispy outside, softer inside. I baked them to just barely brown as SAWASEWA mentioned.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2013
This recipe definitely deserves the high ratings. I think it produced the best muffins I've ever made. Seriously. One recipe made ten generous muffins, right on as per recipe directions.

Cafeteria Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2012
The Worcestershire Sauce and hot pepper sauce really made this recipe 'pop'. It's still good old-fashioned mac and cheese. I'm sorry, I did not have ground mustard on hand but I'm sure that would be a good addition too.

Apple Cole Slaw

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2011
This is a recipe you can trust. I made it for 22 people and everyone raved. I didn't make any changes. I would suggest making it a few hours ahead to help blend the flavors. Before serving you can drain a little of the extra juices but don't drain them all because I had people who wanted it sloppy!

When I put all the ingredients together I was worried the dough was too dry but it made for perfect cookies. Mmmmmm

Teenie's Accidental Rhubarb-Raspberry Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2011
This pie recipe is just about the only one I will make. It always turns out perfect. Funny that the instructions say to bake until the fruit is tender and juices are thick. I always wonder how that works when it's hot and doesn't thicken up till cooled! Just trust the recipe, it has worked for me every time.

Ginger Snap Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2010
I was looking for a very 'gingery' snap and this is a good one. Some of the suggestions I've read could add variety but this recipe is very good on its own. I can see how cayenne or regular ground black pepper would add to the 'heat'. As for the baking time, it's just a matter of taste whether a person wants a bit chewy or a 'snap'. You can trust this recipe!

Vanilla-Glazed Apple Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2010
I made these cookies and got rave reviews. Absolutely excellent! My family likes cookies with lots of nuts, raisins etc. so these were perfect. When I took them out of the oven after 8 minutes I thought they looked a little under-done but after they cooled and were frosted..... oh my they were so soft/chewy and so delicious! I was glad I didn't bake them longer. By the way the dough, when mixed, seemed like it was going to need more flour but after baking a trial cookie, I left it alone and they were perfect.

Pecan Sandies

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
Amen Sister, these are really good!!! I followed the recipe exactly. Before baking I used the sugared bottom of a glass to gently smash the cookie just a little bit flat. Some cookies are good warm out of the oven but these are best cooled.

Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2009
This recipe gets 5 stars. I made it exactly as per Kristi's recipe and it was the best ever. I can imagine that adding some minced clams or canned salmon would work very well. As is, I wouldn't change a thing if you want a hearty and delicious soup.
