Skillet Corn Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2015
All in all this is a great cornbread. I would make it again. It is tender and has a good flavor. It holds together, not crumbling like some skillet recipes. The only thing I would change is to take advise of another reviewer and add some sugar. It just needs a touch of sweetness. I will definitely make these again.

Peanut Butter Blossoms

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2014
I have never made PB Blossoms but have a customer who loves them. These are great. My daughter, sil, and 21 yo gdaughter were here and ate them right out of the oven. BIG HIT! Mine are a little bigger than the recipe says but baked good in 9-10 min. I like that they are soft. Family took 1/2 the left overs. Will take some to my customer for her review..I know they will be a big hit

Chocolate Rum Balls I

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2014
I had never before had nor made rum balls but I had a request. This was my first attempt and they are delicious and oh so easy. Resting a few days makes a difference too. I used spiced rum as suggested by other reviewers. I will gladly pass these on.

Lemon Curd

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2014
This is my "go to" lemon curd for cake filling. It is most popular flavor after strawberry. It's easy and nearly fool proof. I had trouble getting it to thicken once (thus the 4 stars). It was probably my error somehow. I'm very happy with it

Granny Kat's Pumpkin Roll

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2014
This pumpkin roll is very popular with my customers and co-workers. It's very moist and incredibly easy. I'm going to get another jelly roll pan so I can make several in less time. I use a towel (linen type) to roll and it works great. Cool about 1/2 hour, gently unroll and let rest a little before spreading filling. I layed parchment along long end and, after filling, rerolled it right onto the parchment. VOILA. It makes a great presentation.

White Almond Wedding Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2014
I am testing recipes for Tiffany gift mini cakes. She wants white cake. How can I make this cake white? Butter and whole eggs make this a yellow cake. I would like to use this recipe based on reviews.

Honey Dijon Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 15, 2014
The chops were tough and the sauce just slid off when I removed them from pan.

Cheesecake Cupcakes

Reviewed: May 11, 2014
These are probably the best Cheesecake Cupcakes out there. I make a full cheesecake that has spoiled my hubby to all others. It has a layer of sour cream on top like these cupcakes and they are like a mini of my full one. A hit all the way around. Thanks for sharing.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: May 1, 2014
Followed some reviews and made extra sauce. Glad I did. I will Add all ingredients together next time. It gets thick when reheated but flavor gets better. My hubbie was sick when I made it and tried a "small slice to see how it would set". GOOD STUFF. He had it for lunch and dinner for the next 2 days. I guess that makes it a hit.

Salmon Marinade

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2014
I don't buy salmon as often as other fish so I was excited about this easy and quick recipe. Hubbie and I love lemon/lime and Worcestershire so I was a little disappointed there was not more flavor. I think I should have marinated longer. (2-3 hrs was all). Hubbie thought it was pretty good. Next time I will add garlic and marinate over night.

Mini Cheesecakes III

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2014
My girlfriend and I tested these in mini cupcake size for a party I am doing next week. They were so easy I thought I had forgotten something. I put 1 tsp graham cracker crust in each cup and filled almost to top. The recipe made 24 mini mini cheesecake cupcakes. I baked for 12 min and they were DELISH and perfect. For the party event I am going to add mini choc chips and top with 3 minis and drizzle with choc for 12, plain with strawberry filling on top drizzled with milk choc for 12 and for the last 12 I am going to put a piece of mini peanut butter cup on top and crust and top with filling and finish with a piece of the pb cup finishing off with a drizzle of choc. This recipe is so adaptable. Try it, you will love it.

My Best Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2013
Very good. I think the vinegar adds a nice flavor boost. I added bacon because I have always made clam chowder with bacon. I used 1/2 non fat milk for caloric reasons and it was Very Good. My new recipe!

Chocolate Ganache

Reviewed: May 25, 2011
You can use a bag of Candy Melts as well. Whipping it makes the tastiest filling ever for cakes. This is the BEST. I am getting ready to pour this over a Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Cake for my 33 year old daughter's birthday. You don't need a lot of decorations with this stuff. It is gorgeous by itself. LOVE IT!

Marshmallow Fondant

Reviewed: May 8, 2011
This is AMAZING STUFF. I have dreaded the word Fondant when a customer requested it. Now I can't get enough of this stuff. USE YOUR KA MIXER. it makes things sooooo much easier. You can add color and knead it a little at the end to get the consistancy you want. A WINNER TO KEEP!!!!

Cut-Out Cookies in a Flower Pot

Reviewed: May 3, 2011
Great cookie. (I took the advise to add part of flour with BP and salt first. I needed 5 1/2 cups) I have been making Sugar Cookies for my Cookie Monster hubby for years. I wanted to try something new and these are great. I am making 130 cookies for Church event with a tropical theme. I stenciled a palm tree on each cookie. BIG HIT!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: May 1, 2011
I have a great sugar cookie recipe I have used for 20+years. I tried this one because of the reviews. I had a real problem with them sticking to the cookie sheet at first.:( I sprayed the sheet and tried cooking them a little longer. This helped and my Cookie Monster hubby likes the crisp/chewy texture. I will try them again. This time I will use parchment on my cookie sheet.

Split Pea Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2010
This is very good. I have made split pea soup for years and this is more flavorful than anything I made. I used left over ham and had only 3/4 pd. My husband liked it but would have liked more ham. This is a keeper and next time I will serve with some crusty bread.

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2010
WOW, I made this for a work birthday/potluck. Every one loved it. There were 3 small pieces left. Personally, I would like more spice. I frosted sides and coated sides with crushed walnuts. It made a great presentation. Don't try to save by using less expensive cream cheese. Use the best...the flavor will pay you back!!!!!! I will make this again.
