David's Yellow Cake

Reviewed: May 6, 2014
I tried several different recipes and this is by far the best! Followed directions directly and it was tasty and moist. I am even at 5400 feet altitude.

Mid-Summer Italian Bread Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2011
A delicious hit. I added a regular lettuce mix to make it last longer and it was still delicious. I also recommend keeping the dressing and bread separate until time to eat to avoid it getting soggy (I took this to a potluck, but also had leftovers).

Slow Cooker Sweet Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2010
I WON A CHILI COOK OFF WITH THIS RECIPE! It is so good and so easy. I didn't have the Chinese chili powder (or any chili powder) so I added a little chipotle powder for some spice and followed everything else exactly. It is delicious!

Southwestern Lentil Salad

I used kidney beans and added some lemon juice. I also added a spoonful of sugar as recommended. It was delicious! Unique flavor. Good by itself or with some chips.

Golden Carrot Buns

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2010
Very moist with a unique flavor, but more of a dinner roll. I had read the reviews that said it was sweet, so I made it as a breakfast bread- it wasn't the best flavor for breakfast.

I just used the sprinkle on Parmesan cheese and it was still delicious!

Pan de Muertos (Mexican Bread of the Dead)

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2009
I made it twice in two days! Followed the recipe exactly except used Anise extract. I found out after the first loaf that 2 tsp anise seed =1 tsp anise extract. Still delicious, though.
