About this Cook
I'm a bit of a foodie (thank you Food Network) and love to try new things.
My favorite things to cook
Everything, though I'm not a huge fan of baking.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every year I make a huge meal for my family of 5 and any stray people without family in the area for Thanksgiving. I love it, but I'm usually put off cooking for a month or so afterward so we go out for Brunch on every Christmas.
My cooking triumphs
A spectacular milk braised herbed pork loin, trash-can chicken (don't ask,) braised ox-tails and my own creation of "Dinner in a Pumpkin."
My cooking tragedies
Way too many to count. Being adventurous isn't always a good thing. Fortunately I've got a husband that eats whatever is put in front of him with a smile...I married a saint!

Fry Bread I
My husband loves fry bread and has eaten it many times and said this was very good.

Blue Cranberry Sauce
My husband, the blueberry nut, really loved it, said it would be great on ice cream. I thought it was okay, too sweet for my tastes.

Fusion Chili
GREAT recipe! I did make a few changes based on my own tastes and at the suggestion of other reviewers. I cut the honey down to 1/4 cup, I also substituted a cup of strong coffee and a bottle of dark beer (a porter) for the wine as I don't think wine has any business in something as earthy as chili and as the recipe was becoming a bit too thick. I also omitted a few veggies I didn't have handy. Will definitely make again!
