Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Give me a break. I'll give this 5 stars because I simply love a basic grilled cheese sandwich. However, I'm shocked that so many people actually rated a grilled cheese recipe so seriously. I'm no master cook by any means but I think I learned how to make a grilled cheese sandwich when I was tall enough to reach the top of the stove. It's not exactly culinary rocket science. Shame on me for reading as many reviews as I did. But it was a nice laugh.

Chicken Rice Hot Dish

Modenese Pork Chops

My husband said these were the best pork chops he ever had. Browned 2 chops in half amount of butter and half amount of olive oil. Used the amount stated for everything else. Even added a little extra wine and butter towards the end. Thanks for delicious recipe.

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

Made this exactly as the recipe stated. YUMMMM!!!! Let the chicken marinate for about 8 hours and turned out very tender and juicy. I will definately be making this again. Thank you!!

Baked French Fries I

Very very good. Only thing I changed was the time and temp. I cooked these for 40 minutes @ 400 degrees. Husband couldn't get enough of them and I had to slap his hand away just so I could get a few of them. Will definately be making these again. Probably weekly.

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

Very good! Only change I made was I halfed the amount of sugar and it was still plenty sweet and no onion. It gets VERY "wet" after sitting in the frig for a little while, so don't think it's not enough dressing when you first make it.

I did not care for this. The breading became mushy after I put it in the oven. I prefer a crispier outside. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Very good, however DEFINATELY line your pan with foil AND spray foil. Scrubbed, scrubbed and scrubbed and wound up throwing out my glass dish.

Japanese Shrimp Sauce I

Good with some tweaking. Took others advice and only used 2 tablespoons sugar. Still very sweet!! I would cut back a little on mayo next time. Added a little ketchup and a sprinkle of cayenne pepper. Will definitely make again using this as a base and going from there. Thank you!!

Cajun Baked Catfish

I'll give this 5 stars for super easy recipe. Cook time was perfect and nice combination of spices. However, I obviously am not a fan of catfish. Yuck! May try this again with a different type of fish.

Key West Chicken

I'll give this 5 stars because I think it's me and not the recipe. I have hard time getting overly excited over any chicken recipe. Chicken always seems kind of bland to me. Definately marinate this overnight to get the full flavor. I don't know how anybody could marinate chicken for 30 minutes and get any additional flavor at all. Nice blend of ingrediants and I had everything on hand. Thank you.

Chicken Enchiladas I

Made these tonight and they are very good. However, to be perfectly honest. I think the Old Elpaso Enchilada Dinner Kit ones where all you have to do is add the meat is just as good and probably cheaper. Thank you for a very good recipe, but I think I will stick with the quicker, cheaper and easier method.

World's Best Lasagna

Made this during the holidays and put one in the freezer. We ate the one that had been in the freezer this week and I swear it was even better than the first one which had never been frozen. Made some extra sauce, which is sooooo easy to make. I had to promise my husband I'll never feed him the jarred stuff again. Thank you.

Herbed Mushrooms with White Wine

Very good and simple. Used cooking wine and had no complaints. They were a bit bland but my husband is not a salt eater. I just added salt to my serving. Will definately be making these again.
