Iced Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2012
I never expected to like these - cakey pumpkin cookies?! They're delicious, esp with the frosting. My family loves them too.

Banana Banana Bread

Foolproof and deeeeeelicious. Plan ahead - you'll need to use at least 6-8 bananas. I added some vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon. My kids loved it. Will definitely make again

Chef John's Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2014
I heart this recipe so so much!!! I love that the flavor is complex - you can adjust the heat. And what I love most is using the chili spice as a rub on grilled chicken and fish. When I make this recipe, I double the spices, store 1/2 of them in a covered jar, and make the chili with the rest. The spice mix stays on-hand when I'm in a hurry. Rub it together with a T of oil into some chicken thighs and grill for a quick, DeLicious dinner.

I love this recipe. It's easy, quick and delicious. My kids love it. Great mid-week dinner. I serve with Italiano bread and a green salad. Love the lemon.

Really easy. I'd cut back on the sugar next time, though.

Orange Romaine Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2011
A great dish for kids! I used white wine vinegar, virgin olive oil and a teaspoon honey (plenty). My kids also added fresh shredded parmesan (which they add to everything). It was great!

Slow Cooker Chicken Marrakesh

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2013
I loved this recipe. I used off-the bone chicken thighs and liked how moist the chicken was. The sweet potatoes were a really lovely addition. I cooked on the stove-top, and it turned out great. Definitely will make this again

Crab Strata

It was great, but heavy. I used asparagus - big, chunky asparagus. They held up well. I also covered it with tin foil for the first 1/2 hour to keep it moist and help it to puff up.

Easy Indian Butter Chicken

My family *loves* this recipe as a special (yes, very high-fat) meal. I can't find tandoori masala. I just mix some curry powder and cayenne.

I don't eat meat, so I have no instinct for cooking it. I made these for my family and they loved it. Really simple.

Flourless Chocolate Cake II

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2012
This is great - and easy. I beat the egg whites separately and fold them into the batter. I made this as cupcakes and baked them for 20- 15 minutes. Watch them closely to be sure you don't over-cook. The middle will sink - fill it with ice cream and serve hot!

Maharani Cupcakes

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2010
Well, I really appreciate the creative combination of flavors. 2 tablespoons of mild curry, however, was waaaay too much. Next time I'll try 1 teaspoon max. The curd did not set much. Next time I'll heat it on the stove top where it's far easier to watch it thicken. The basil cream topping I made was lovely and subtle. But I only used 2 leafy 'stems' of basil- about 20 total basil leaves. I suspect a full bunch would be far too overpowering. I'll try it again
