Broccoli with Garlic Butter and Cashews

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2009
Oh my! This was delicious! I will definitely make it again. And I think when the brocolli gets drained, it would be best to try and soak up any water that would be left in the brocolli (that way, when you pour the sauce over, the sauce won't turn super watery. I also cooked the sauce a bit longer so it can thicken because I personally do not like watery sauce. Overall, this was great!!

Pillow-Soft Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2009
Wow, when these were baking, they smelled delicous! I think the hardest part was kneading the dough because it was SO sticky! But the end results made it worth it. I did make a few changes though. I cut the recipe in half because I did not need much and then I used unsalted butter instead of shortening because I do not like usually shortening in my foods much. I also added a small amout of ground cinnamon and a little bit of almond extract! they turned out AMAZING! WILL MAKE AGAIN!!

Chocolate Crinkles II

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2009
These were good, but not the best. It seemed a bit dry afterwards to me. It was great right when it came out though! It was horrific when forming the dogh into balls to coat in sugar. They were so sticky! I tried putting water on my hands to avoid stickiness, but it still stuck. I found it easier to just scoop some dough and toss it in a bowl of powdered sugar and move it around in there so it will be covered in powdered sugar. :P

Cinnabun Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2009
These were terrific! The only thing I changed was substituting the shortening with just another 1/2cup of butter. Honestly, I think it takes more time and effort into MAKING the dough, and rolling it up. The dough after it comes out of the fridge, will be very flimsy and easily breakable. I think working quick will be best when it comes to rolling out the dough. My cookies were smaller, so I ended up with over 60 cookies! Parchment paper is useful for this, so it won't ever stick. :) And don't ever think about leaving it in there longer than 8-10 minutes. I left all my 3 batches of cookies for 8 minutes exactly and they all turned out PERFECT. If left in there too long, the bottom may burn or the cookie can get really hard so don't do that. :P

Melt In Your Mouth Blueberry Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2009
Mmm... I made this today and it tasted great! I guess you can say it kinda "melted" in my mouth haha!! It was very moist and i loved it like that. My mom and I were the first to try it after I made it. She thought it was "too sweet" but probably anything with sugar is "too sweet" for her! LOL. I thought it was fine, i mean, its cake afterall. :] To be honest, as I was making this, i messed up a little. Well, first of all, my batter was fine until I put the frozen blueberries in (since all the blueberries I have are frozen) and then the batter kind of got cold/chunkier and i tried mixing it and the skin from the blueberries started coming off!! >.

JIF® Irresistible Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2009
This was very good! I actually didn't have an egg to use, so I was like, "What do I do with this now?!" and fortunately, we had some tofu, and I just used some tofu to replace :P It still ended up very nice, light and also had a moist texture that was a bit chewy! At first I wasn't sure if I should take it out after around 8 minutes, but I did. It was perfect, but mine was a little bit droopy in the beginning because it was still hot, but as it cooled, it actually stayed in shape, haha. There was a lot of cookies, so I cut them all into little cubes and will bring them to school to share. :) I will make this again one day, for sure!
