About this Cook
I am happily married for almost 2 years now. I love to cook, especially when there is someone to share it with. It kind of makes the bad things I have to deal with during the day at work, poof, disapear. When I do make a mistake while cooking, which really hardly happens, I just dont say anything until my husband does. If he does I might agree and give it to the dog. She always loves whatever I cook:}If it's seafood Ill pass it to the cat!
My favorite things to cook
turkey dinners.I just never have been taught to make stuffing, dressing, what do you call it?I also love to cook my cheesy chicken spaghetti. I love it so much I gain about 10 pound if I cook it. So its not popular in the summer.I also enjoy making a good pot roast with all the veggies and potatoes, browing the meat is fun, and makes the house smell sooooo gooood!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My older brother and I enjoyed frying burritos in a frydaddy and throwing chili and cheese on top, when we roomed together during college. Plus sourdough toast with peanutbutter!
My cooking triumphs
I have won first place in a Italian cookoff with my lasagna. I won 2nd place in a chili cookoff, they say would have been perfect without the beans.I like beans in my chili which really isnt a hit in Texas.
My cooking tragedies
My first Thanksgiving with my inlaws, no one could carve the turkey so I volunteerd, which I regreted after I kept pulling long hair out of my turkey and looked up and everyone else, pulling my long hair out of there turkey and mouths. So ashamed ,I promised it was very clean. A few sips of drinks later everyone was ok with it.Or so they said.

Armadillo Eggs
These turned out really good. I made them for our Christmas party, the only complaint I got was the peppers were pretty crunchy. I think next time I will roast them in oven for a few minutes first. But they were all gone 20 minutes after I showed up so they were still a great hit.
