Rhubarb Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
I thought this recipe was great...not to tart not too sickeningly sweet. I like it better than pie!

Loved this! Can make a completely different cake with different pudding, chips, or cake mix!

Megan's Granola

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2010
This recipe is great, and I didn't even add all of the nuts or oat bran! I just used what I had available around the house.

Poppy Seed Yeast Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2010
This is the first sandwich type bread I have made before and it turned out really moist and yummy! It probably would have tasted a little better if I had the almond extract, but I had to omit it.

Banana Bread - Quick Bread for Machines

Maybe I am just missing something, but where is all the liquid in the recipe? Mine just turned out dry and crumbly but had a good taste.

Yellow Pound Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2010
I made this cake to cut up and use in a trifle. The frozen stuff costs too much. I probably only used about 1 1/2 cups of butter and used all purpose flour in a 9x13 pan. It turned out just fine for what I needed it for.

Dark Chocolate Bacon Cupcakes

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2010
These cupcakes are delicious, but mine did not taste very bacon-y. The cake was moist and tasty and did not really taste like coffee. It was a nice experiment.

Ground Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2010
This made for a nice, easy supper for a picky eater (by not using the mushrooms). The taste had a little more mayonnaise than we would like. Not bad.

I love these cookies! Made them twice over Christmastime and they were very consistent. Nice and soft and rich.

Tiramisu Layer Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2010
I actually was not saved a piece of this cake, so I am writing for others. It was rich but not too rich and fairly easy to make. Not to hard to decorate. Very unique. A+

Cherry Angel Trifle

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2010
Delicious and easy to prepare, even when baking the angel food cake from a mix. I used blueberry pie filling and cherry jello. You can't go wrong with a trifle. They always look so nice.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2010
Unique recipe. It turned out great for a gathering. Tasted delicious with even a little cantaloupe and pineapple and without the raspberries. I did find it a little hard to know when the tortillas were done with the cinnamon on them, but maybe that's just me.

Delicious. Not really sure if there is room for improvement. I added some chocolate chips to mine.

Baked Doughnuts

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2010
Good, but a little too much spice for my taste. Very thick and heavy like cake doughnuts. I think they could use just a little more moisture. This is an easy to work with, versatile recipe. Adding cocoa powder and/or chocolate chips is good, and making different glazes (chocolate, maple, maybe blueberry, strawberry, or cherry) makes it more exciting.

Lemon Blueberry Drop Scones

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2010
Yummy and flavorful! The glaze definitely adds the extra detail and texture. I used frozen blueberries and sour cream with a touch of honey and a little bit of blueberry yogurt instead of lemon yogurt. I also used lemon extract instead of the lemon juice (about 1-1 1/2 tsp in the batter and 1/2 tsp in the glaze).

Mom's Buttermilk Pancakes

Basic pancakes. I added just a tsp of vanilla and a sprinkle of cinnamon. I made some plain and added rhubarb and chocolate chips to some. Nice use for extra buttermilk!

Honey Of An Oatmeal Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2010
I loved this bread! I used the oven instead of bread machine and I sprinkled a little bit of oats and some honey on top. It rose and baked easily and looked wonderful. I usually mess anything with yeast up. Goes great with chicken salad for a sweet and salty taste. Will be making this again soon.

Whole Wheat Pita Bread

Great recipe. I used all the same ingredients, but I cooked them on a griddle pan. I made mini pizzas out of them and baked sandwiches. Delicious!
