Soft and Chewy Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: May 22, 2010
I love the taste of these cookies. Like other reviewers, I added semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1/2 cup more PB and about 1/2 cup more flour. That made them more fluffy instead of chewy. Maybe next time I will try the exact recipe and see how it turns out for me.

Cookies 'n Cream Cake

Reviewed: May 4, 2010
Excellent cake. I think the cookie filling adds more moisture. I made the cake the same as this recipe, but I added a marshmallow fluff filling and a recipe for chocolate buttercream on allrecipes. Thanks for the idea.

Apple Crisp II

Yummy. I had a craving for this, and it fit the bill. Just a basic, classic apple crisp.

Very Simple Spelt Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2010
I wasn't too impressed with this bread. It does not have yeast, so it's heavy. I'm not sure what would help with the taste. I'll have to experiment more.

Cookie Dough for Ice Cream (Eggless)

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2010
Just like a smaller basic chocolate chip cookie dough without baking soda and eggs. Exactly what I was looking for.

Cannoli Cake Roll

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2010
I liked this cake and it looks very pretty, but maybe it was just the flavor of the cake itself that I didn't love. It was a little bland to me.

Cherry Pound Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2010
This cake is good. Tastes a lot like a doughnut. I made it with a chocolate glaze and some sliced almonds on top. Maybe I would like it more with more cherries.

Stef's Whoopie Pies with Peanut Butter Frosting

Excellent. I did not change anything about the recipe. These taste a lot like those new Oreo cakesters, just less greasy.

Whole Wheat Pita Bread

Great recipe. I used all the same ingredients, but I cooked them on a griddle pan. I made mini pizzas out of them and baked sandwiches. Delicious!

Honey Of An Oatmeal Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2010
I loved this bread! I used the oven instead of bread machine and I sprinkled a little bit of oats and some honey on top. It rose and baked easily and looked wonderful. I usually mess anything with yeast up. Goes great with chicken salad for a sweet and salty taste. Will be making this again soon.

Mom's Buttermilk Pancakes

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2010
Basic pancakes. I added just a tsp of vanilla and a sprinkle of cinnamon. I made some plain and added rhubarb and chocolate chips to some. Nice use for extra buttermilk!

Lemon Blueberry Drop Scones

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2010
Yummy and flavorful! The glaze definitely adds the extra detail and texture. I used frozen blueberries and sour cream with a touch of honey and a little bit of blueberry yogurt instead of lemon yogurt. I also used lemon extract instead of the lemon juice (about 1-1 1/2 tsp in the batter and 1/2 tsp in the glaze).

Baked Doughnuts

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2010
Good, but a little too much spice for my taste. Very thick and heavy like cake doughnuts. I think they could use just a little more moisture. This is an easy to work with, versatile recipe. Adding cocoa powder and/or chocolate chips is good, and making different glazes (chocolate, maple, maybe blueberry, strawberry, or cherry) makes it more exciting.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Unique recipe. It turned out great for a gathering. Tasted delicious with even a little cantaloupe and pineapple and without the raspberries. I did find it a little hard to know when the tortillas were done with the cinnamon on them, but maybe that's just me.

Cherry Angel Trifle

Delicious and easy to prepare, even when baking the angel food cake from a mix. I used blueberry pie filling and cherry jello. You can't go wrong with a trifle. They always look so nice.
