About this Cook
My favorite foods to eat are salads. Not because they are healthy but because I crave salty foods. I love salt, lemons, olives, tomatos, fish, vinegar, pickedled veggies and foods that can go on top of a bed of lettuce. I grow my own Basil and Tomatoes just so I can have the fresh tart taste of these two champions with my pure olive oil and lemon.
My favorite things to cook
Soups, Salads, Lasagna, Gnocchi, Calzones, Tomato & Fresh Basil, potatos and cheese, Filet mignon, Risotto, Limone Veal, Polenta, ... I love to eat seafood but I am not very good at cooking sea foods so I go out to eat for these.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Gnocchi, Northern Italian cooking family traditions.
My cooking triumphs
Lasagna, Gnocchi, Calzones, Risottos, Veal, Filet Mignon, Salad Dressings,
My cooking tragedies
I am not a baker. I wish I were, my kids would be thrilled but I fail often in the area of cakes, cookies, and pies. Now, if I can use a package I am all set but from scatch forget it. So, my poor husband and kids will only ever have Betty or Dunkin help with their desserts. : )

Milk Chocolate Peppermint Bark
This was the best and most easy recipe in all the Bark Recipes. I love that you can use the microwave to melt. The other Bark recipes felt complicated and too specific. I needed something simple for a group of high school girls to complete to bring to a school event. Anything more complicated could have turned the kitchen into a nightmare. Love this. And it tasted fantastic!

Brazilian Cheese Bread (Pao de Queijo)
I have a hard time using the soy milk. But I think this is perfect for those with allergy issues. We love Pao De Queigo. A great family treat.

Brazilian Cheese Puffs (Pao de Queijo)
LOVE IT. You must used Tapioca starch. Anything else will not do this recipe justice. I love Pao De Queijo. If you are lucky you can find this prepackaged recipe in the supermarket. In the latin food section otherwise this recipe will make it pefect too. Obrigada. (Thank you in Portuguese)
