Thanks Sara, this one, was fun to make. My 4 sons called me today and asked me what was for dinner. They explained they were hungry and coming over to eat. They are grown, well almost.. I looked and found your recipe, it called for, to just throw things together and make a casserole. I had 3 half bags of pasta, wide noodles, shells and spagetti. I cooked all 3 and added them to the beef mixture. Everything I added to the casserole came from my kitchen. I'm on a tight budget right now. I didn't want to go and spend money at the store today. Well, anyway, it was great and the boys almost ate all of it. It was great for a last minute meal!!!!!

These are so good. I cooked them at 250 degrees for 4 hours and the meat fell off the bones. I added a rub to meat before I added the BBQ sauce. My 4 sons and hubby loved them. Thanks so much.

I love this crust and so easy to make. It rolls out nicely and bakes well. The crust is tender and tasty. My family loves this homemade pizza crust recipe. Just add your favorite toppings and bake!!!

Wonderful recipe. I cooked it 20 mins per lb and the meat wasn't tender enough. Next time I will cook at a lower temp 250 degrees and for a much longer time. I saved the drippings, drained the fat, added liquid smoke and thicken the sauce. It made a wonderful BBQ sauce for the Brisket. Also, I used an electric knife to cut thin slices. A keeper.

I have been making this salad for about 2 years. It is the best recipe. It is better than a traditional potato salad. I added some yellow mustard and green onions. Also, I cook and dice the potatoes, add salt and pepper and let set in the refrigerator over night. Thnak you for sharing with us.

We made it this recipe as a covered dish for Thanksgiving. It was a big hit!! The only thing we did different was to add Taco seasoning to the meat. Thanks!!!

WOW!!! My hubby and I just loved it. Thank you for the good suggestions in the reviews. I left the salmon in the glass dish and covered the dish with foil. After it was done, served it over cooked rice. Very yummy....

I think this recipe needs some detail instructions for first timers. Cook the sugar mixture briskly, unstirred and undisturbed, for 10-15 minutes, until the temperature reached 255 degrees on a candy thermometer, or a drop of the mixture in cold water forms a firm almost brittle ball. I found the 10-15 minutes, was just as important as the temperature. Next, beat the second mixture for another 10 minutes or so (very important time), loses its gloss and is firm enough to hold its shape in a spoon. Stir in the nuts at once. Great taste and texture. Hope this helps.

Wonderful recipe. We have had this several times for dinner and everytime, it was a big hit. It has a very good flavor and simple to make. I used a whole chicken, cut it up, boiled and deboned. At the end, I added whole sweet corn at the end.

I have been looking a long time for a good cobbler recipe. At long last, I found it!!! My family just loved it. Very simple to prepare. It tasted just like Luby's cafeteria cobbler.......hmmmmmmmm

Great recipe. I've made it twice and it was a big hit both times. Very good one, for big parties.

A wonderful dish. I added 16 oz sour cream to the mixture before layering. Very spicey and with a good kick to it. Hubby loves it. Served it at a party last night and it was a great hit. It makes a hugh cassarole, but I have 3 tennage sons and it's just enough us for 2 nights. Will make again!!!

UPDATE: I changed the 1/2 cup shortening for 1/2 cup vegetable oil. Much better now. This is my hubby's favorite cake. He is from Nebraska and they call it a "Tommy Cake". I couldn't find his Mom's "Tommy Cake" recipe, so I looked until, I found one very similar to her's. He said it was just like the one he remembered as a child. We served it at a Christmas dinner this year and it was a big hit.
